Where's the kitchen at The Hay Burger?

I assumed the kitchen at the Hay Burger was in the middle of the restaurant, but later I found that we saw quite a bit of the place and the kitchen wasn't there. Maybe the basement?

I like to think that all fast food joints in cartoons have the same Layout as the Krusty Krab:

There's a Chipoltle near where I work that has two levels an upper floor where the 'kitchen' is and an eating area, and a lower floor that has a larger eating area. both floors can be accessed from the roads, because it's built into the side of a hill. Have we ever seen the *outside* of the Hayburger place? I don't remember.
