  1. Let's see: the largest horse in recorded history was a Shire named Mammoth, who was born in 1848. He stood 21.2 hands (86 inches, 218 cm) high, and his peak weight was estimated at 1,524 kilograms (3,360 lb). Celestia's a big girl (for you), so let's say that that's her size. Naim Süleymano, seen by some as history's greatest weightlifter, could lift upwards of 190.0 kilograms, that's 418.9lb. Celestia could be 1/4th of Mammoth's weight and she'd still weight 191 kg more than Naim himself could lift. You can't lift Princess Celestia.
  2. Something in the vein of an episode of Courage The Cowardly Dog would definately be fun, but i'm not sure if they'd be able to pull it off: scary imagery is hard to do with MLP's clean and cutesy art style. Still, it would be pretty neat if they managed to do it.
  3. I think it's a neat touch that they're going in depth about how the school works and what exactly each member does, it's not a lot, but it's definately better than nothing. Other than that i generally liked this episode, towards the ending i was expecting Cozy Glow to be a jerk who failed on purpose just to mess with the CMC, but the direction the episode actually went was a lot better. Other than that i guess don't really have much to say about this one.
  4. Well, this episode kind of explains why so many teenaged dragons act the way they do, getting kicked out of home like that has got mess you up pretty badly. I at the same time kinda love and hate how MLP's dragons are slowly becoming G-rated versions of the Orks from WH40K with how comedically awful their society can be. Also, i was hoping they would establish that dragons can grow up and age without it being greed induced. I suppose the ex-dragonlord Torch was already a hint at that, but now it's 100% confirmed. Anyway, guess we finally know why Spike didn't have wings while all other dragons did, baby dragons just don't have those. I was starting to wonder if he really was a dragon and theorizing that he was a drake instead...Guess i was just overthinking this as usual. Solid episode, i'd say, i particularly liked how they portrayed the roc, those guys really deserve to appear in tv shows and movies more often
  5. She might be something like a magical marriage/relationship counselor, or maybe she's supposed to spread the word of love just like Twilight does with friendship, or maybe she just helps ponies find the right partners for them, could also be all of those things. Or it might be that she's mastered love-based magic, so that's why she gets to be the princess of that.
  6. Here's the thing though: in one of the RPs i made i pretty much copy-pasted the rulebook for the system i was using(Mighty Blade) onto the topic and it still didn't seem to work out. But i'll take what you said into consideration and try to leave a link to leave a link to the rulebook next time. As for stats and rolls, i really have a hard time running an RP without them because, when it comes to DMing, i try my best to make things as fair and balanced as possible, and incorporating those aspects into the game are the best way to accomplish that as far as i know. I could just rely on my common sense for that, sure, but as a human being i'm inherently partial and biased, and as such relying solely on my "common sense" often just doesn't bode well with me. Either way, thank you for your help.
  7. So lately i've started an OOC topic for a new RP, and just like my last one, it suffered from a lack of players that stopped it from actually starting. Despite recieving a arge amount of views, both RPs only had one player sign up to them, which wasn't enough to start the RP since i was looking for at least two players of more. So my question is: how do i make an RP that people will actually want to play? I'd really like to know what i'm doing wrong, since the RPs i make here have the same style as the ones i'd make in the Sonic Rainboom forum, a brazilian MLP forum that also has an RP session, and even thought Sonic Rainboom has less members than this forum, i never had that problem there, i honestly don't understand what's going wrong.
  8. I watched this movie back when it originally came out and had forgotten all about it, it's pretty bad but nothing's ever gonna outdo Trolland when it comes to bad movies.
  9. Just finished Chrono Trigger for the first time, man was this game a blast to play!

  10. An ant, it has the speed advantage. Devilman Vs. Bugs Bunny.
  11. It's a simple game: take two or more completely random characters from...Well, anything and pit them against eachother, then the next person to reply gets to say which one wins! The more nonsensical the fight, the better. Mind you, this thread isn't ment for serious discussions about who would win, it's just a silly game, don't forget that I'll start: Santa Claus Vs. Goku
  12. Still looking for new players for my RP, only need one more so we can start. Anyone who's interested can check it out here.

  13. Before we start, i believe i should give a bit of backstory on how this topic came to be: i've recently bought a book named "King Arthur and The Knights of The Round Table", the subject matter of which is made pretty clear by the title, and now that i've started reading it i've been thinking a lot about arthurian myth. As a result of that, when i rembered that there's a place in the show's universe called "The Griffish Isles": (As shown here, taken from this image) Which is clearly inspired by the British Isles, i began thinking: how strong exactly are the parallels between the griffons and the british? Are the two's histories and cultures similar? If so, then is there a griffon equivalent to king Arthur? We already know that MLP, despite not necessarily being a fantasy show, takes most of its inspiration from fantasy stories - shown by the presence of gold-hoarding dragons, the vague and mysterious nature of its magic system, its very fantasy-esque setting, races and concepts, etc. - and fantasy as a genre, as far as i know, is mainly influenced by three things: world mythology, The Lord of The Rings and, of course, arthurian myth. Plus, the universe of MLP:FIM already kind of has its very own Merlin in the form of Starswirl The Bearded, who just like Merlin is a greatly powerful wizard within his own story's universe and has a large amount of influence over the story's plot, despite not exactly being amongst the protagonists. Thus, i made this topic to ask: is it possible that, either within the show's actual universe or within the folk tales of the griffons, there is some kind of griffish parallel to king Arthur? Furthermore, what other characters from mythology and literature do you think have or could have a parallel to them within the world of MLP? I'd love to hear what you guys think.
  14. Not sure about the others, but Fluttershy and Rarity would probably straight up faint. On the other hand, i imagine Applejack's gotten her fair share of injuries while working at the farm, so she'd probably be used to it and know how to handle things.
  15. It seems surpising at first for sure, but from a business standpoint it kind of makes sense. MLP is a huge brand in the west, especially with Kikirara's target audience, so it's quite an appropriate IP to partner with in order to boost their product's popularity outside of Japan, something that more japanese companies are trying to do right now than not many years ago. I can see this working out pretty well for Sanrio.
  16. That's a good point, actually. I mean, if you're going to ruin your sister's day, it makes sense to do it on a day that's important for her rather than for you.
  17. Surprisingly, None of them, the character to which i relate the most isn't a pony at all, but rather a dragon: Spike. Much like Spike, i too am almost always the youngest member of my social groups(at least currently), i tend to feel underachieved and unreasonably anxious about what people think of me, while also fantasizing about one day achieving greatness. Plus i do have the bad habit of sucking up to people who i'm personally impressed by(i'll be the first one to admit that my praise towards artists like Hirohiko Araki and ONE are a rather excessive, but it's what keeps me motivated so i don't mind), and i've got a bit of a greedy streak. And i also love comic books.
  18. 4chan isn't as bad as it's often portrayed as, it's just that the complete lack of any kind of censorship and the absolute anonimity means that people get to act any way they want, which can be really good or really bad, it's a mixed bag. "Chaotic neutral" if you will. Kiwi Farms however is so obsessed with "cringe culture" that, ironically, it often becomes cringy itself.
  19. Hey, welcome to the forum! Hope you have a good time, and if you ever feel like talking, i try to come here as often as i can.
  20. That's actually an interesting question, maybe it's something related to his backstory or his personal life...Or maybe there's no particular reason, it's hard to tell.
  21. Okay, let's see... First of all, i'd say that time works differently in the MLP universe and the EQG universe: time flows more slowly in the EQG universe, so a young adult pony in Equestria(like, say, Twilight and her friends) is still a late teenager in the human world, while ponies in their late teens(as i imagine the CMC would be by now) are early teens in the human world and so on. The only exceptions being the alicorns because they're immortal, thus their EQG counterparts reflect their apparent age rather than their actual age. As for when a pony stops being considered a colt or filly, i'd say it's much more dependent on physical appearence rather than age: they stop being considered a filly or colt once they have all of or at least most of the physical characteristics of an adult pony. As for The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 scene, i'd say Flim and Flam called AJ that just to be condescending. This is based mostly on assumptions, thought, so it's very possible that i could be wrong.
  22. To add insult to injury, Dragon!Scootaloo can fly and regular scootaloo can't.
  23. I am rather excited for it, actually, not because G4 doesn't mean a lot to me, but precisely because it means so much for me. I want its legacy to continue in some form after its conclusion, i want to continue being a part of the community surrounding it, but i also don't want G4 to run itself into the ground like so many other shows did. And as such the best way for that to happen is for there to be a reboot. After all: why are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Batman, for example, such massive names in animation, if not because they lended themselves to new incarnations? Why, G4 itself would have not existed if MLP had not recieved a reboot after G3. This reboot has the chance to be the beginning of something truly great, something that will cement the franchise in animation history and ensure that others will share the same experiences that we are sharing now. Besides, i can see the soul of G4 being carried on by G5, the fact that it will be aimed at an older audience is proof of that: when Lauren Faust first came up with the idea for Friendship Is Magic, she wanted to create something that all could enjoy regardless of its target demographic, and it's clear as day that she was successful, i have high hopes that this idea will carry on into G5.
  24. I'm not particularly interested in the Yak or the earth pony(am i the only one who thinks he looks like a background character?), but the griffon has caught my interest.
  25. That's true, after all, to paraphrase a quote from a RebelTaxi video: "If your character is truly great, you can put them in any scenario and they'll still work just as well."
