Can the Elements of Harmony still be used?

I'm working on a fanfic where the Elements are involved. I know this sounds like a stupid question, but can they still be used? 🦄

Yes they can. They used them again by taking them out of the tree in the comics when they couldn't use Rainbow Power because they were missing Twilight.

Yeah, they did in the comics those are only kinda sorta canon but still I wouldn't think taking them out of the tree for long would be a good idea, the Plunder seeds core might still remain.

They should just use the rainbow power from now own, not sure why they've only used it once.

I guess believe they could if they have to, but they would also need to put them back soon. So the timing must be chosen wisely, then again, all they seem to be able to do with the elements is the gaint magic destruction blast of friendship, so that wouldn't take too much time.

I don't see why they couldn't. there are more than 6 ponies who embody the elements, and could use them, if they come across the tree, and are bold enough to remove the EoH

There really isn't an obstacle that cannot be sidestepped in the writing process allowing them to be used again, so I'm going with yes.

I have no idea how it's activated, but I don't think it's tied to the map.

I don't really know, and given how they aren't going to come back anytime soon, I doubt we will get an answer to this question.

Seeing how Titan-Tirek was easily defeated by Rainbow Power, which is a bit let down, i dont really care it will comeback or not. Even without the elements, the Equestria has too many overpowered individuals like Discord, Twilight, Starlight with powerful allies they had in S5-6, unless the villains are kind of Eldritch Horrors or any cosmic entities, there is no need for elements.

Discord can one-shot everyone and the Elements can one-shot him, there will be no stakes if you bring back the elements (right now they are Rainbow Power, which can be activated without the necklaces).

Yes, the key question is "Why don't they just use Rainbow Power instead of the Elements?"  My advice is, you want to use the Elements, either go pre Princess Twilight or an AU where that never happened. Another possibility would be a distant future & another generation of Element Bearers.
