The Lady Writers are in charge of the show now, and they prove that they know how to write him. After season 6, Spike shouldn't have much of a problem anymore, depending on the writer. The person who wrote Honest Apple probably doesn't realize he moved on from his stalker phase, but that's only one little slice of life episode that easily could've taken place before season 6! It really looked like the Lady Writers were setting up for Spike's origins during Gauntlet of Fire! In that episode, Spike is now on good terms with the dragons, and helped the current leader rise to power! So with Ember's help, he might have a chance to reunite with them, but we gotta just hope for the best!

From someone who hasn't touched a single S7 episode with a ten foot pole... I am expecting some srsly crazy shit to go down in eps 25-26. Idk what exactly, but something really REALLY over the top.

^Not to say that "over the top" is a bad thing, at least not when Studio B/ Dhx is involved

I like the idea that it's an epic three part! That would be a nice reason as to why we have yet to see the last three episode summaries, but I try not to get my hopes up. Still, exciting! It's nice to think that maybe they will make up for the SOL openings(not that it's a bad thing!) with the season finale being three whole episodes!

While I know things can go a completely different path, I'm anticipating a new villain. I'm not sure how many folks read the comics, but I remember there was a bunch of hype generated by the announcement that the three chapter arc would tie into season 7. The excitement was sort of forgotten after the chapters released and nothing was really made clear since anything relative hasn't happened in the season yet. Soooo...there's still that epic reveal?

Yeah, they've also said that the legends of equestria will ALSO tie to this season, but so far, the only comic I've seen tied to this season is the one with Angel being in charge of the animals  . Not to mention that all but these three last episodes of the season have revealed their synopsises, and none of them sounds like they either tie to LoE, nor the Shadowlock arc . Maybe they all saving it for last

Quite the contrary. We haven't seen enough of her. If you're going to make your audience care about her, have her in episodes somehow, whether it's secondary, primary, or background. Doing so makes her a part of the community. Additionally, we still know nothing about her family. All we know about her is her relationship with Sunburst and present-day experiences. Well-done backstories related to her family would fit into the season's overall theme and make her more more relatable.

After Princess Spike, he's been written a lot better. (In fact, Spike's characterization and the respect he was given throughout S6 was Haber's biggest strength as story editor.) If they keep up with the quality characterization and tie him in to his family, you can make him feel very relatable.
