What kind of setting would you prefer the EqG movies to be set in?

I remember that I had posted two questions regarding alternate settings for the Equestria Girls movies, one in mediaeval Japan, and the other in ancient Greece:

So, if you directed the Equestria Girls movies, what kind of setting would you use for the "mirror Equestria", instead of that cliche high school setting?

Would it be from a historical era, or a futuristic Equestria (as an antithesis for the magical fantasy Equestria), or something else?

Well seeing how more magical elements have been added as the series continued, I would like to see the human world and Equestria begin to merge into one another and it would be up to the main 7 to stop that before each world destroys the other.

Meh, I like the setting it already has. All they need to do now is explore a sunken ship where buried treasure is supposed to be hidden.

The current setting works as it's a reflection of the actual world itself but with magic slowly becoming integrated with it. If the setting were to be changed, I would have it be more futuristic but not in the vein of say, Futurama. Maybe more technological but without the alien and galaxy scope.

I think Star Wars and the Destiny games apply this to a certain extent, involving some kind of "magic" existing in nonetheless-futuristic worlds.

The human world is a world of horse girls who all have pony magic of some kind just like Equestrian horses (Earth pony humans, pegasi humans, unicorn humans); Things work rather similiar, but there's more focus on their being universities for horse girls to go to to train their special talents, with some of them being more mundane universities for magic, and more prestigious ones where those with exceptional talents get hand picked by celestia to do special jobs around equestria.

The mane six as a group of new students at Celestia's university (or instead make it a university founded by starswirl the bearded) where students with exceptional pony magic learn to control and use their magic; None of them have discovered their special talents or what their magic is focused on yet, in a kind of Pre-cutie mark chronicles thing. The mane six all become friends, discover their talents, Celestia takes on twilight as a protege, ect. ect., and then NMM/Luna escapes from the moon and attacks. The mane six all man up, rally the other students to help, and the school tries to invade luna's Stronghold and rescue celestia, the mane six all become bonded to the EOH, ect.

Then continue on with the group being groomed by celestia as the new EOH bearers, and more villains keep attacking along the way.

 

 

Basically, make it kind of like a cross between shows like Sailor moon and hero academia, and make it a full action bent with some school antics on the side.

Definitly not a futuristic setting, so I would go for a roman setting. But I rather will hold on the designs like they are now. I think it is fine.
