KillerKingBakudan 702 September 25, 2017 Share September 25, 2017 (edited) You meet your favorite background pony, and after hanging out for months, you two become besties. But then you begin to notice she's not home nearly as much as she's supposed to be. When you finally catch up to her, her behavior seems off. She mentions she's going through some financial hardships and that she had to take up a second job, but she won't say where and what. She also tells you that she's seeing a therapist, so she has no need to talk about it with you or any of her friends. Not long after, you take a trip to Canterlot where, by some stroke of dumb luck, you catch her with bags filled with bits, magical artifacts and other valuable items that she looted from a prestigious museum. She says the owner of the museum deserves to get robbed because he cost her her job (somehow), and this is the only way to turn her life around. Because you're her best friend, she offers you a cut of the bits she stole. Do you take the money and cover her ass, or do you end the friendship and give her up to the authorities? And before anyone says their favorite background pony would never do that, remember, they're background ponies. They're undeveloped, so you don't know that. Libra 11,691 September 25, 2017 Share September 25, 2017 Nopony is above the law, even if I'm a best friend of them. I would single handidly report them to the authorities.

KH7672 1,604 September 25, 2017 Share September 25, 2017 Considering we're in Canterlot already...yeah I'd turn Flitter in.(It's interesting to note no one here has yet to say who their favorite BG character is when answering the question. Sorry to break the trend. )Celestia will listen to the situation and judge fairly. Who knows maybe some princess intervention can help turn her life around. I'd totally be there to help explain. If not for her new friend maybe with the support of Cloud Chaser she can be helped. One of my most ambitious role playing experiences. Kyoshi Frost Wolf 42,008 September 25, 2017 Share September 25, 2017 Would be rather strange for Button Mash to do this, but I wouldn't report him. I would meet with him and try to help him make things better in his life. If he already was having financial troubles, then jail time won't fix that problem. Plus, above all else, I would feel so terrible if I reported him.

Guest September 27, 2017 Share September 27, 2017 Honestly, I was going to say that I'd obviously rat on them since they're committing a crime but now that I think about it, I probably wouldn't do it after all. I'm already too careful not to ruin any current friendships so I wouldn't want them to hold a grudge. Realistically though, I'd end up worrying about it too much and spend days thinking about what would be the right thing to do.

age3rcm 101 October 1, 2017 Share October 1, 2017 i will cover it. then i will train to be a guard. develop myself on the position to receive promotions and attain higher levels. I WILL BECOME THE EMBODIMENT OF LAW MYSELF I WILL THEN REVEAL THE PONY'S CRIME, AND THEN I WILL ARREST THE PONY MYSELF. and then, with a wip, having knotted and locked the pony on the town square. i will determine how many the pony deserves for the crime.BECAUSE THERE IS NO ONE BESIDES ME THAT SHOULD PUNISH THE PONY FOR THE MISBEHAVIOR
Queen Cassie 3,058 October 1, 2017 Share October 1, 2017 But, Muffins, why? Why did you do it? I'd turn her in, reluctantly, because frankly she ripped off a museum. If she had stolen from, say, Prince Blueblood or some other high muckety muck that wouldn't miss the goods, I'm chaotic enough to say more power to her and cover her. But since it was a museum, no. But I would go to her trial and argue in favor of job placement for her rehabilitation, something good. And I'd take care of Dinky and Amethyst for her while she's doing her time. BastementSparkle 20,334 October 1, 2017 Share October 1, 2017 I'd help Lyra bury the body if she asked, so some pretty jewels and bits? Might as well be some pocket change, nothing those silly guards need to know about... Twilight is best pony. Why hello MLPForums! What have ya been up to? TigerGeekGuy 4,662 October 1, 2017 Share October 1, 2017 I'll try to talk things through with her, petty thievery is no way for anyone to potentially ruin his/her life and/or reputation. If I can't convince her otherwise, then yes, I would turn her in. "The place where you made your stand never mattered. Attack of the Pwns 894 October 1, 2017 Share October 1, 2017 I think I'd take an entirely different approach. I'd tell Lyra the truth-that she has a problem, and that's she's only going to dig a deeper hole for herself and feel more and more guilty about things until she admits her wrongdoings. I'd still stand by her every step of the way- everypony makes mistakes, and even if the charges ended in jail time, I'd still go visit her if she'd let me. I'd hate to take a chance at ruining our friendship, but Lyra's long term wellbeing would be more important to me than maintaining good graces. 1 Signature by the ever-awesome Overdrive!
