So, nightmarity

So, anyways, Nightmarity was made a purchaseable character in the gameloft game recently (FOR TWENTY FREAKING DOLLARS at that). To my knowledge, prior to this there have been no comics only characters sold in the gameloft game, they've all had to be in the show or movie first.

Think this is just them grabbing a popular comic character, of possibility of nightmarity in the future?

They might be running out of show ponies. I’ve only been playing for a few weeks, but holy crap, they seem to have EEEEEVERYPONY (and non pony).

I have yet to see Ahuizotl though. I am disappoint.

Worked on me, but then again I'm a whale in SWGoH ... so the price here is a discount compared to what I cough up with that mobile game. A Rarity centric premium character? Finger meet submit button. 

Anyway, yeah they have a ridiculous assortment of characters, but considering the new Season 7 drops ... I'm not complaining.

Though I still feel that the story was uneven and had some bizarre moments, Rarity falling to the Nightmare Force was actually done with a decent motivation.

ahuitzotl would require a new character model and animations (Idling, ect.) made, while they just grabbed an alicorn model, snipped the wings and bam, there you go for nightmare rarity.

Even if its not exactly hard to make a new model for a game like this, gameloft is still going to go the path of least resistance.

Yeah, but that excuse isn’t going to fly with me because they made a boat load of new, unique character models for all the residents of Klugetown. I will remain salty.

The walk and action animations in that game are not extensive enough to pull a lazy. The primary source assets help design tremendously. Also a Daring Do area would be a nice edition akin to Everfree. Ahuizotl can be the area's boss, then you can unlock when defeated. 

That game can be improved tremendously.

I doubt that we are going to see Nightmare Rarity in the show.

But I would be interested if that story somehow actually managed to make it into the show.

It would be interesting to use the concept of targeting one Mane character at her weakest so that you can sabotage the group. Discord actually had a pretty solid plan back in Season 2. You don't even need to focus on Rarity, and you still have the possibility of using that Shadow force instead of Nightmare. 

However, adapting Nightmare Rarity is a great way of ending Sparity. If her Nightmare version tells Spike the harsh truth causing him to face what he probably knows anyway ... that works. Spike would still pull the whole fire Ruby trick and Spike legit evolves his crush into a healthy friendship after a final scene heart to heart talk between them.

Though I'm almost leery of using Rarity in a twisted form over another character only because we've seen Rarity corrupted twice already. Let one of the other VA's have fun with hamming up the evil.

I wonder; do they have other characters from the IDW comics? I don't play the mobile game as I really don't 'get' it, but if either the deer or umbrum are included...that may change.

Speaking of which, I remember when Sombra came out as a friendly unlockable.

 

At first I found it odd AF; but after FIENDship and Siege, it suddenly didn't seem so odd anymore.

 

P.S.: The fact that you can have Pony!Sauron (complete with his evil version of the Crystal Castle) casually living in your town will never stop being funny.

Well, there goes my trollin' for that "fake" Nightmare Rarity in the pony game pic  .... not that any responded anyway  . Well first, a confession: I've bought her  ...... but now lost my save data  . Oh well, I guess that a sigh that I'm better off without that game I guess  . Back on topic: sure, that was the most unexpected thing to ever appear, ever, SHE EVEN GOT HER OWN VECTOR 

Still, I'm not expecting her, but it could be possible for her to make a short appearance in some way

Hi, as this board is for show discussion only, this has been moved to the appropriate board.  

That's both lit and extortion.  I think it's neat that a comic is being acknowledged, but $20 for a character in the Gameloft game?  They really need to learn what micro transactions are worth.  Entire games often cost less than that.
