Probably $200 - 300, though being the kind of person that I am, I'd probably just make one instead. It's a lot more personal that way, assuming you've got the tools to do it.

Since we're both cheapskates we had a small wedding that we planned ourselves with just family attending. It cost something like €900 and most of that cost was the cost of renting the venue for the day. I really enjoyed it though, big weddings are just... no.

I can't think of anything really specific I'd like to cook for him yet, I just want to cook something for him and get over built-up anxiety revolving around cooking at the same time.  Plus he's just been so good to me.
