I graduated high school back in 2015, and as I've said before, college is for the intelligent, or the rich... and I'm neither. People all around have convinced me to think otherwise, but I'm not going to spend a fortune on loans for a chance at getting a piece of paper that might make life better for me.

I currently have graduated college with a Associates in Civil Engineering Technology and a Bachelors in Construction Engineering Managment but the job I have right now my boss pays for me to go back to school to take some extra classes to take an exam and to become a Licensed Surveyor in my state. When i first went to college my degree was just Civil Engineering but once i got to Multivariate Calculus, thermal-dynamic physics and Linear Algebra my brain exploded and I opted out :P My grades are mostly B's but sometimes i get C's or D's if im lazy for an assignment or quiz.

I'm in 11th grade, and homeschooled, although I'm waay behind in advanced math. :scoots: Someway or another my mom wants me go to college to become an equine vet tech, which I guess is alright, considering I'll get to work with horses and have a good paying job. Although I would really just want to stick to professionally riding horses as my career, maybe become a horse riding instructor. I would really rather not do college. :sunny: I don't think I'd do very good with college classes, and I read that to become an equine vet tech, (which is something I really would rather not want to do) you have to be BETTER than average at math like calculus.  I can't even get through Algebra! Screw that idea.

What is GIS? Gastro intestinal studies?

GIS is Geographic Information Science (Also known as Geographic Information System). It's a system that helps analyze geographic data. AND it's used in EVERYTHING these days, even in Meteorology.

  • 1 year later...

Throughout my lifetime my grades have been ranged all over the place (never from not caring, but instead running into classes I was really bad at like math, or Comp II where personal issues dragged me down). However, in my "junior" and "senior" years of college I had very good grades, got a reward, and got to graduate with one of the cum laudes (I forget which). It was neat to have the extra pieces on my gown!
