Now, less discuss Season 8. If you are reading this far, then you either don't care, or you already know this. Many diverse characters are being added. Twilight is opening a school, but what does this mean? Where is this taking us?

Yes, I know able about the season 9 and G5 rumors, but remember that these are only rumors and have neither been confirmed nor denied.

 

I personally think that this school idea was made to keep the show from milking the cutiemap for too long. Won't be long until that gets old afterall. I believe that they are doing this to add a fresh new idea to this show.

This has the potential to give us more insight on the history of Equestria and the places outside of it.

I wonder what they teach there. I already saw AJ teaching how to pick apples with a tree in the classroom.

They are going to teach the virtues of friendship from what I've seen in one of the leaked episodes. Surprisingly, that's the only one that directly deals with the school out of the leaked, and there doesn't seem to be that many from the episode list

The Map is still going to be sending New Ponies outside the Mane 6 to solve a problem. Ponies outside the Mane 6 being sent will give some nice screen time to the secondary characters.

I don't think the Map nor the School is a terrible idea as long as we get to know the characters and more world-building throughout the season.

I see what season eight is trying to do as injecting some new ideas and narratives into the show that have yet to be implemented whilst also refining ones that have been around for quite some time. Granted, not everyone is going to enjoy what this season will offer but I think they should give it a chance before writing it off. If handled well, it could prove itself to be very lucrative and might be used in the next generation.

I believe another generation is possible, but I don't really believe it would be the one there are rumors about. That one is WAY to ridicules to even be considered true. Like I said this has neither been confirmed nor denied.

If there is another generation, and that's a big IF, it'll probably be a continuation of G4. Either it'll pick up where it left off, or it'll be a few years in the future with characters that we could possibly guess are the offspring of the Mane 6, but even then, it isn't too likely.

There is a good chance that G4 will be the final generation, but everything I am saying could verywell be wrong.

Maybe the rumors could in fact be true, but I do have major doubts for numerous reasons.

I personally am going to despise season 8, for a few reasons, the first being that.. well.. Hasbro should've made a new villain, or ended it at Season 7. I also think that Twilight and all her friends could have gotten their dreams to become a reality as the last few episodes, and it would have been better that Twilight became a princess at the end.

Nowhere in the show did Twilight ever said she wanted to be an Alicorn, ever! She just merely proved that she is capable of being an Alicorn. It's implied that Sunset Shimmer back when she was cruel and dishonest, she wanted to be powerful as one when she didn't deserve it at the time, but humble Twilight was made one because she proved the Power of Friendship instead of doing evil things to get her way. There's a huge difference.

Season 8 will surely be expanding on the world building outside of Equestria due to the many new student species we've seen thus far in the leaks. I'm not sure how I feel about the "Friendship School" thing, but I'm willing to give it a try (I haven't seen any of the fully leaked episodes besides some small clips and stuff), so I really don't know what to expect going into this new season with the whole school thing.

Until we get an official word from Hasbro--assuming we will given the leaks and all--all we can do is speculate what might be and question it.
