What does the show mean to you?

It means a lot to me, although I have just started watching it I am enthralled with the plot and the characters whilst the community is so supportive and friendly it's like being part of a giant family... or a Herd!

Well written and beautifully animated. I'm glad to see that animation is still a valid art form, even without hand drawn cells. The music quite a few times transcended mere children's cartoon, and made the show something very special to me.

Caused a bit of emotional pain.

It means a huge chunk. It has been the only thing that inspired me to improve, and regain hope that I would at last leave the hellhole I used to live in. It also inspired me to work out and, while still bulky, I'm no longer a fat dude

Even though it may seem childish on the surface, some of its messages are very meaningful. It inspires and encourages empathy, cooperation, understanding and forgiveness among people rather than vengeance or selfishness. Even though the element of harmony is used sometimes, most problems are solved through communication rather than physical force. When we grow up, we may become smarter, but one thing I don't see a lot of people getting better at - and sometimes getting even worst at - is friendship. I admire a lot of the qualities seen in these ponies. It really changed me quite a bit. I became more empathetic and caring about others, and tried to resolve problems rather than just shove them away. I'm more confident and willing to share my emotions - I realized that acting all tough isn't really the best way.

Also, I realized that one thing about MLP is that unlike other kid shows is that the main characters are neither kids nor superheroes. The main characters are fully grown mares (who still have a younger side to them).

I thinks it's always hopeful to find a quality animated show anymore. So it's a positive fixture among so many disappointments in media. That alone is worth something.

To me it's just another cartoon I enjoy so while it doesn't play a huge part in my life, it's still something I enjoy watching. I've stopped watching certain shows but MLP keeps being quite immersive even after all the years.

Simply put, to me, MLP is an enjoyable cartoon. However if I were to to dive deeper, watching it kind of taught me not to give a shit about what other people think about me.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

To me, MLP as a whole (the show and the fandom) offers escapism like no other. How ponies are such an alternative to humans (and traditional anthro characters for that matter) with their flavored personalities, simple designs and expressiveness. There are unlimited possibilities for stories about them, from simple slice of life stories to epic adventures. Plus, the world of MLP is pretty much a blank canvas, so there are virtually limitless possibilities for worldbuilding, canon and fanon.

It really meant a lot to me. I have not many things to look forward to and even less back in the day, but MLP was oddly enough exactly the show i needed to watch. Among all the other things this was like a light in the dark and I loved to see a show that was innocent and genuine, that wanted to say something more than just being entertaining and that taught lessons i had forgotten. Or i just simply wanted to watch good friends being good friends, good family, a nice happy place, things that i miss having instead of the usual ball of ooze and venom that is real life.

It did felt like a family i was part of without ever seeing them in person, between the characters, the fans, the writers, the animators, everyone was on this experimental train that wanted to change the status quo of many things.

It's part of me now.

It’s impacted me a lot and it’s overall been a fun experience, even if I don’t watch the show or any type of TV as often anymore. I’ll always love ponies, they’re too cute and lovable not to

It means A LOT to me, and it's just an amazing experience. It's brought me to make some amazing friends, and come out of my shell a little bit.

I will always love ponies, no doubt about that.

It's the first time I was truly able to relate to something. FIM gave me everything I ever wished for in life. I know that friendship and love does not exist in real life. I don't even know what a simple hug would feel like. But that's why I'm so happy to at least have this in fictional world. And I can just hug my plushie. :coco: Without FIM, I would only feel empty. Loneliness, depression and no meaning whatsoever in my life. That's how I felt before I started watching. And this is how I feel if I would ever stop. Someone else said it before in this topic, but to me it's also true: FIM is everything for me. Personally, I wouldn't have a reason to be alive anymore without them. Love is everything to me and when it doesn't even exist, then I can't see a point in life anymore. I know the ponies would accept me the way I am. It's so nice to see how they care for each other, they would always have a hug for you. :kindness: Life is survival and meant to be lived alone, no way around it. But our ponies are always there. <3

Hard to put into words how much it means to me.  It came at a time I had nothing to look forward to and had made plans to exit the world.   It gave me an escape from reality, and I just loved the characters and how I’d like to think about how I’d love to go there cause it’d be a lot better than here.   Having the fandom around it makes it better cause so many other people feel the same and makes me feel less alone.

Heck,  I won’t even watch the last season.  Seeing it end is too much for me, and I don’t mind the feeling there’s always something “new” in the show to me that I have yet to see.  I wanna keep that feeling.
