I think my favorite fandom tune without question has to to be Great To Be Different by Forest Rain. 

Had the honor to play this song on drums live with Forest Rain at a few conventions. The song's meaning and purpose has lifted me out of 

some tough times.

Absolute masterpiece. Thematic is incredible, lyrics are phenomenal, the singer's vocal performance is chic and sensational, instrumentation is majestic, guitar and drums are exquisite and the ending is EPIC.

Probably my favorite fan song at the moment is an oldie, though more recently covered (excellently) by 4everfreebrony.
Is What Went Wrong. Such a powerful message behind this song and has been a good listen for a number of years. 
But the added harmonies, solos, and general production in the new one is certainly something else to make this song the best It could be.
