I was just wondering, are you currently learning a new language? If so, which one(s)? If not, are you planning on learning a new language anytime soon?

I'm currently learning Burmese. When I visited Myanmar (Burma) I immediately fell in love with the language and I just had to learn it. It's so beautiful

I have few 'ongoing' learning processes that have been going on basically forever with no real progress being made and i think they will continue like that for a while, those are mainly Japanese, Chinese and Russian

A long time ago, I spent six years learning French though in the end it didn't really do anything for me in terms of my degree. I will admit though that it was a much different experience than what I had done prior to that. These days, I'm not learning any additional languages.

I know English, and some basic French. I've been working on and off to learn Japanese because I'm a filthy weeb. I'm good with pronunciation, I know how to read hiragana and katakana, and I know basic sentence structure and particles. I just need to start learning kanji and vocabulary. 

I've been wanting to learn some German, too, but I doubt I'd ever get to it.

I already know English, French, German, Classical Latin and Esperanto. I also know a bit of Indonesian. And I'm interested in Ancient Greek, Hebrew and Sanskrit.

I've been learning Chinese (Mandarin) since I was 6 years old and I speak it fluently now. (My best friend is Chinese and his mother taught me the language) From my experience I can tell you that the beginning of learning Mandarin (the basics) is very hard but the further you get learning Chinese, the easier it becomes. So you'll just have pass the basics, it'll actually become very easy after that. Good luck!

I've had ancient Greek for at school for 2 years and I was absolutely horrible at it. If you're ever going to learn it, I really hope you're going to be better at it than I was! Good luck!

Both are a bit akin to English. German is closely related with it and French had a heavy influence on the English language. But they are far more complex and diverse than English. Like the French articles "le, la, les" and German "der, die, das, des, dem, den" are all equal to English "the". Also, nouns have genders. In French, a baguette is a "she" while in German a tank is a "he" and a girl an "it". Adjectives get different endings for the gender, number and case of their noun, German has 16 possible combinations. In French, there is a huge difference between the spelling and pronunciation of a word, but luckily in German, there isn't.

I've been trying to learn Russian, but I've made very little to no progress on that. I've learned to read Cyrillic, I just don't understand the words I'm reading. I'd also be quite interested in learning German, Swedish and Norse.

I'm learning with success Russian language from one year and two next years of learning ahead me. I understand some russian sentences and I could also build very simple russian dialogs. I even had a dream, where I was talking with retired russian soldier, that was hilarious. Russian language is beautiful language, by sound and by non-complex ortography and gramatic rules.

Well, you need to find a good book or website about the language first because you are going to have to learn basic grammar rules, words and how to construct sentences. However, the best way to quickly improve your conversation skills is simply to read and listen to the language a lot. The more you hear and read the language you are learning, the better you will understand the language and this will also improve your speaking skills in this language. It also helps a lot to talk and write in the language as you will need to maintain these skills. If you have nobody to talk to in the language you're learning, then just talk to yourself in that language, this has helped me a lot.

So apart from just studying grammar and words, you really need to use the language you're learning on a daily basis, this is a very efficient way to become more fluent in the language. And if you've reached the level you wanted to reach, make sure that you keep using the language as some rules and words may fade away if you don't use the language for a long time.

No. I do, however, have a brother who is studying linguistics and is currently fluent in three different languages: English, Japanese and Chinese and is also currently learning Esperanto and Korean.
