I know there is no real Mexico in Equestria. But like Applejack is obviously a Southern American pony, and there were obvious two Indian ponies, is Pinkie Pie Mexican?

Dr.Caballeron and Zipporwhill are the closest you're going to get I think if we're going by accents, however Ms.Harshwhinny and Ms.Peachbottom are from Mustangia which is an obvious play on mustang, the Spanish name of an American horse breed. It would probably be considered a Mexican breed if not for that whole manifest destiny.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to say no comrade. Just cuz we've seen her speak Spanish like once and she's worn a mustache just to be random doesn't count as herself being Mexican.

I agree with what this comrade says, her family is supposed to represent the Amish so it is more likely she would be of some German/European descent.

In this case, I'm pretty sure "Southern American" was meant to refer to the Southern United States, not the continent of South America.

Okay. It started with vary minor details. It seems like a small running inside joke around the writing crew by now.

First, her strange taste about hot sauce on cupcakes, her rant about chimicherry (cherrychanga). She suddenly sings in spanish. (No one, not even Pinkie herself sung in different languages ever.) Then out of nowhere, she calls her straw Fernando. And then jalapeno red velvet is her favorate cupcake. She might have recommanded quesadillas to Twilight. Also, pinatas are from mexico.

I know lots of these things are popular all around the world and Pinkie Pie can be specially obsessed on certain culture like the Yaks, and she is the most random crazy pony in the show, but I think there is something about her and Mexico.

Even the umbrella hat, (from wikipedia)

Robert W. Patten claimed that he invented the umbrella hat while he was prospecting in Mexico.
