ManaMinori 4,149 October 8, 2018 Share October 8, 2018 It's always been speculated on who Luna and Celestia's parents might've been, but what if Hasbro decided to reveal at least their mother being a pony by the name of Majesty, who came from gen1? While, sure, she's not an alicorn, their father still might be (and we've seen that alicorns can reproduce with unicorns in the example of Cadance and Shining Armor). Majesty has the same purple eyes and white coat as Celestia, and the same blue hair as Luna in her depowered form, which would've been default since she had to have been born that way, and the opening image of the sisters from the very first episode also had her with plain, light blue hair. MLP movie were about to, but they decided to change it. I don't like the idea at all of them coming from nothing and currently that is basically all we have in the show. It seems like their parents would be the ones to be eternal beings that exist in a different plane of reality. Discord could be their crazy uncle. 1 Redeem me into childhood. There's so much great fan-made lore out there, I'd hate to see any of it be proven inaccurate. I'd rather they not mess up a good thing. That said, if they canonized the Fausticorn. . . Introducing Celestia and Luna's mom means they don't know what Celestia and Luna represents. And the best result they could make with it is at least not make it suck completely. In other words, it's impossible to make it good without messing with the show's essence. And if we mess with the show's essence, it isn't good. Expanding everything and knowing everything about everybody isn't necessary. Sometimes we wish something without even knowing what we actually need. As the show progress, those kind of moves could cause some sort of inflation. After introducing Luna and Celestia's mom, how could the show go back to Applejack picking apples in Sweet Apple Acres? They gonna show her, thats for sure If they did that I'd like to see a moment where discord decides to mess around and she straight up shows him what real power looks like with the smallest effort on her part. At the same time however, I'd be irrationally upset if their mother wasn't alicorn Faust. She may be the unofficial mother but it's so ingrained after all of these years that I don't know if I can look past it. I wouldn't make a huge deal out of it but others within the fandom might and Hasbro wants none of that but then again they might not care at this point. Sometiems we just have to learn to suck it up. It'd also be kind of nice if the royal sisters had a deeply personal moment with twilight and afterwards they just found a letter out of nowhere from their mother that said how proud of them she was and it'd end on a tearful hug.
