The Mane 6 would be confused and shocked (but Twi would be fascinated). The Princesses would use this to their advantage but Luna would be hesitant. Shining Armor would not see the point in it while Starlight and Sunburst would try to delve deeper in it and use it to solve their own problems (Equestrian problems).

Well it'd be a confusing and astounding mess for everypony involved.

  • Horrified at the imperialism and carnage wrought during the first world war.
  • The financial ineptitude and greed that caused the great depression.
  • Applejack would facehoof at the dust bowl and the poor farming techniques.
  • Mass genocides and a second world war. They'd all be scratching their heads at how anyone thought communism could work in any way and how such self destructive leaders could stay in power for so long.
  • Just how deeply entrenched racial, gender and even national discrimination and overall xenophobia was. People looking for reasons to despise other groups of people for being different.
  • The staggering leaps of scientific discovery and technological advancement would stun Twi, Glimglam and sunburst. Luna would not be impressed with the space race. At all. Probably be more surprised that the moon was commanded by earths gravity.
  • All would probably be astonished at the differences between generations.  The huge cultural shifts that took place between decades. How each decade from the 50s on seemed more radically different than the last in terms of cultural shifts and attitudes.
  • All would have mixed emotions on peace only having been achievable through mutually assured destruction, rather than problems actually being worked out.
  • They'd be stunned at how one species could be so diverse in terms of beliefs, cultures, ideologies and political systems.
  • They'd also find the concept of religion odd, them coming from a world where the presence of deities and supernatural forces is far from ambiguous.
  • AJ would approve of the sustained role farming has and still plays in civilization. Rarity would have a tizzy at the changes in fashion. Shy would be horrified at the mistreatment of animals but admire how far animal rights has come. Dash would be down with the fervor that entire cities and countries feel over sports. Pinkie would blow a collective gasket at how many parties are held around the world each day. Starlight would take notes on how to best cripple each nation. Sunburst would look to see how to merge technology and magic. Shiny would critique security forces meant to protect nations leaders. The princesses would be mixed about democracy. Twi would just be happy that we've committed to the written/ typed word now more than ever.

They'd be fascinated by our diversity, our innovation, our perseverance, but be wary of the unpredictable dichotomy of our nature. Brutal and compassionate. Humble and ignorant. Accepting and intolerant. Desiring for knowledge yet taking leaps in faith.

In short, they'd think even Discord would have a field day with us.

Upon learning about the Soviet Union, Starlight gets flashbacks of her time as a villain.

The Mane Six would be dumbfounded on how guys like Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin committed so many atrocities, yet are regarded as war heroes by their respective countries.

Fluttershy would be outraged by the very concept of hunting. Especially when it's done for sport.

What would everypony think of the supernatural elements of our world? (Such as magic, ghosts, angels, demons, and so on) While it's a LOT more ambiguous here than it is in Equestria, there's definitely been plenty of alleged cases of it throughout history.

Something tells me Shining Armor would disapprove of the arms industry. Finding the idea of corporations making weapons and selling them for profit to be reprehensible.

Princesses Celestia and Luna would be watching a political debate and frustrated by how the many politicians can't get along with each other.

Everypony would be utterly horrified by 9/11. Special mention goes to their reactions to the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center collapsing. Fluttershy would be bawling her eyes out.

Amazed by everything we achieved, perhaps if not by our technology but our culture.

Twilight would geek out by all of the books

Rarity would be fascinated by the fashion

Fluttershy would just had to deal with a hunting of animals because even though it's barbaric it's the best chance all of those endangered animals had.

Rainbow Dash is I don't have any idea.

Pinkie Pie would be happy, and Applejack would be fascinated by all of the farming equipment that we have.

Bringing this back for the hell of it, how would Princess Celestia react to this?

Sonnengewehr.jpg

Basically it's a theoretical superweapon in which a giant mirror in space uses concentrated sunlight to burn down entire cities and boil oceans.

And the real catch? The people who came up with it were the Nazis.

They would probably react very well to the Bronies, and how much we changed the world thanks to them. They would hate the rest including their creator Hasbro, for using them as currently!
