I finished watching EQG a few hours ago, and I resisted the urge to post the song that will be stuck in my head for the rest of my life here. You're welcome. I have this instead, as a better response to the PMV I shared yesterday. It also makes a great reaction video to the guy on FIMFic who I have a bizarre trollish relationship with. As Wingnut can witness to, I tend to pick on Fluttershy fans the most. . I'm pretty sure he started it though.

There was an earlier, uncolored version of this video released, but it's original creator has finally finished coloring it and let me tell you, the finished product is simply beautiful!  I don't even watch "Gurren Lagann", but this video is simply amazing!!!  Here's hoping it ends up in the "Top Ten Pony Vids of June" list!

Fluttershy's new relationship with Discord turns abusive when he discovers her little secret. It's something fans of MLP:FiM have known for years.

 

 

In keeping with this post's squeaky, high pitched theme, what if Twilight and her friends inhaled some helium in Magical Mystery Cure? Wonder no more!

 

 

They almost sound like Chipettes, but not quite.

Hahah, is it weird that I found this kinda adorable? I mean its a bit unrealistically high from their actual filly versions, but its still kinda adorable .

Pinkie's voice is so high also xD.

 

Anyways, I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, it just came out like 3 days ago, I figured maybe it hadn't. and I just saw it, so I figured I'd share.

 

WARNING: excessive 4th wall breaking present. Oh and a tidbit of cursing if anyones worried about that.

This video was apparently a family affair.  This is a lovely pop ballad well performed with great video editing.  Keep a box of kleenex handy...

 

Omg this was a beautiful song I've never heard it before. The clips where well done together. I didn't cry, but it was still quite beautiful .

My PMV, if I did one, would be original animation of Discord dressed as an opera singer, singing beautifully, but disrupting Ponyville by making things move to the music and being overly dramatic and loud while he sang. There would be ponies putting pillows over their ears, Spike walking around with an annoyed expression while Discord followed him, singing; high notes making Rarity's hair go curly & Pinkie's go straight, etc. The "trick" would be that he'd actually be trying to do a good job and, though the rest of the ponies would be annoyed, Fluttershy would eventually notice this and end up joining him as his female duet partner on the song.

 

(Or, of course, one could take the "goodbye" angle and do a tear-jerker, too.)

That's actually a really good idea. Some other songs I would like to see PMVs for are Total Eclipse of the Heart and Singing in the Rain

One of my goals is to rewatch the entire MLP series soon, and I'm kind of tempted to try it out in Japanese, since I've heard their dub is really good. This song certainly supports that. I love Japanese Pinkie's voice , it's freaking perfect. I think I like this version as much as the original

I love mystery stories. My favorite MLP fanfic is actually one of them. Over the past few days, I've been watching a lot of detective shows on TV for whatever reason, and I happened to find these. I'd watch the heck out of these shows if they existed .

 

 

Pinkie would totally be Shawn, she's more of a psychic than he is anyway , and she has a similar blend of insightfulness and insanity. I'm kind of picturing Rainbow Dash as Gus, both because he's a little more levelheaded (but not nearly as levelheaded as he thinks he is) and if anyone can replicate the Shawn/Gus dynamic with Pinkie, it'd have to be Dash in my opinion. I can't decide if Lassiter is Rarity or Applejack, because Rarity isn't enough of a tough, stubborn hardass  but AJ isn't sarcastic or condescending enough.

As for this one, the characters are a bit easier. Twilight is definitely Monk, and Dashie's probably Sharona. Rarity could pass for Natalie, and Spike could mesh with Randy's role. Stottlemayer is Applejack, I suppose.

OK, who other than me was kind of freaked out that burgers actually showed up in "Equestria Girls"?  I'm not a vegetarian or anything, but it was just a little weird seeing Human Fluttershy take a burger, and even more disturbing seeing Twilight take a burger!!!  I mean, I'm guessing she didn't know what it was, and hopefully she didn't eat it, but the possibility is still there that she might be dealing with some very strange issues following her trip to the human world!

Here is It's Always A Good Time by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen. Being a recent pop hit, there are several editions of this PMV on Youtube. I narrowed it down to two I like the most and I couldn't choose one over the other. So I'm posting both.

That guy can have all the fun he wants shitting on it! Its still a nice distraction and the fact that it was made in the early 90's so of course stereotypes and social thoughts are gonna be different. Plus animators had more freedom when it came to censorship its not the only show to have had someone sneak in innuendos for a kids show and of all things he just HAD to compare it to FIM!? not all generations of My Little Pony are the same they just share and swap out there names and designs that all... its a shame though no one seems to care about the older generations!! Might I add one of the greatest quotes ever to come from Fluttershy *Ahem* "I see that the show(Discord) is far from perfect. But I also see none of you giving it(him) a chance!!" - Keep Calm and Flutter On S. 3 Ep. 10 When she is sticking up for Discord and his peculiar behaviors.
