Misconception: Bronies hate anime and make fun of anime fans

You havent noticed the furry/anime/brony war going on? It's been just a small flame war that happens in ocastionally in threads of various forums. But it's still fairly common.

Bronies want everything to be ponified. All brony agreed that is okay

 

A touhou characters is ponified and is done badly. All brony agreed that the art is very good. But the touhou fans think it's hideous, you can't draw hakurei's sleeve on a pony. Brony labels these touhou fans as trolls and haters

 

A LotR character is ponified. Once again everypony loves the art. But the true LotR fans think it's disgusting. You can't make a pony aragorn without make it look very hairy. Again, Brony labels these LotR fans as trolls and haters

 

Suddenly one of the mane six got humanized and it's not caucasian. Or Twilight Sparkle redrawn as touhou character. Many of the bronies enraged that their beloved character was pictured wrong, didn't match their headcanon at all.

 

Double standard much? ._.

 

I can totally understand why those anime fans didn't like their favorite anime got ponified. It's the same way we might not like it when our favorite pony drawn as something else and it fails to meet our standard

 

Those people are not trolls, or haters. They are just a fan of something, just like us.

 

Respect them and their fandom if you want to be respected as a whole

I've actually seen a brony make fun of anime on a video. I don't remember what video it was I think it was a pony related video. Of course maybe this person was a troll and also it was only one person so it's definitely not all bronies that do this.

People tend to make some pretty bold claims when fending a Brony horde, simple as that. I suppose that creating a Brony multitude to spam multiple pages doesn't really help either.

Just a kid looking for attention by making a negative brony comment, and attempting to give it justification by trying to make it look like bronies are hateful to another fanbase. Or he's a moron, saw one brony make an anti-anime remark, and now thinks all bronies hate anime and anime fans too. Either way, classic youtube poster.

That's because MLP:FIM is about friendship and good morals, not loving and tolerating mentally-stunted, ignorant, hateful jackasses. I don't understand why people think we're about loving and tolerating when that's never been the message of the show, though, I guess love and tolerance, or at least tolerance, is a part of those good morals, I don't personally feel any desire to love and tolerate hate-filled swines, I only love and tolerate people who will love and tolerate me back, it's not a one way street.

I've been an anime fan way longer than I've been a brony. It also seems like a lot of bronies are anime fans as well. I mean, I was just at an anime con last weekend and they were selling pony shirts, and merch.

 

What I'm getting at is that one youtube comment section arguement doesn't define two fandoms. As far as I'm concerned, there are a good deal of Brony Otakus out there.

I don't like anime at all, but that isn't true There's plenty of bronies who are also anime fans. I've seen anime fans who aren't bronies make fun of us quite a bit, but no, not all bronies hate anime and anime fans, and there's plenty of bronies that also enjoy anime as well as MLP.

How is that a misconception. Anime and bronies are both kind of in the geeky culture. Plus, I've seen bronies that are anime fans. I don't really care for a lot of anime myself, but I still respect it for what it is.

I suppose it is not the worst ridiculous thing said about bronies, but it is still another case of some knucklehead spewing BS for attention. I have been an anime fan since I was in middle school and though I am not as much of one as I used to be I still am. One of my top favorite shows running right now is One Piece which is an anime.

I am a huge anime fan! Finished Attack on Titan and moving on to Death Note. This is a huge misconception towards bronies. Also does it have to be Japanese to be classed as anime? Just wondering...
