I just want to know it. Can’t figure it out. Netitus is Flash Magnus’ shield

Good question. I looked up historic and legendary shields, can't find anything that seems similar. Maybe a part of it is a shoutout to netflix? :dash:

What even is etymology?

Etymology is the study of the history of words. By extension, the etymology of a word means its origin and development throughout history.

@Steve Piranha

Merriam Webster's third of five entries for "Net" is as an adjective meaning, free of all charges or deductions.

"Itis" from Oxford's dictionary is a suffix for, forming names of inflammatory diseases.

So if we focus on the inflammation part, you could go so far to say it means free of fire, or that this fire proof shield is named Fire Proof. It's a stretch, but it's the kind that you might expect from someone trying to come up with an original name for something, and sticking with the theme.
