So I have a suggestion for a villain....

Tuxedo Kamen!

Recommended Posts

So as the anticipation for season 3 is a slow and painful torture for the good majority of us, i came up with an idea about a possible villain. Colts have really taken a backseat in the show, and I think that perhaps, with the upsurge in the fandom during season 2, that more will make their debut now. That being said, I think its time for a colt villain. Being the trixie fan that I am, a male version of her would be, I think, a great place to start. Your basic villain becomes evil because of their inflated ego anyway, so I think emphasizing the selfish element could carry that into an oppressive force. It would also allow for some growth in a pony or two(*cough* dashie *cough*) but im just curious to see what the season holds.... Your opinion??

Yup we need more colts/stallions. Because of that, I think it's pretty likely a season 3 villain (like at the first two episodes of it) will be male. Actually, I don't think we've had any male antagonist pony in a serious episode. Yeah, we have guys like Flim and Flam, but they aren't an awfully dead serious villain like Discord (not a pony) and Chrysalis. So yup, I completely agree with you on this future antagonist.

Maybe some colt who, for whatever reason, wants to free Discord, and succeeds. Maybe discord can speak telepathically to ponies, and corrupted a colt with promises of power, and that's how Discord makes a comeback for season 3. Maybe he's one of Celestia's guard's, from a long line of royal guards, who's sick of his boring life guarding the royal castle 24/7, and bending knee to a queen he doesn't even care about. Maybe he envy's Celestia, and want's the power she has, so he's willing to free Discord to have that power.

I can see where you are coming from with a colt villain. Though I think it really does all depend on the direction that MLP FiM is going. I want to say that it depends on if they want to pander to the male demographic more, but the reality of it is. I don't know enough about the reasons for a male antagonist in cartoons, but maybe one of them is male viewers. Then again that might not even be the case.

Though if a colt villain were to be introduced. I'd like to see one with a tragic back story. I know this sounds a lot like how fanfics are, but I do want a villain that isn't evil for the sake of evil. I think we are in an age where viewers want their villains to be more realistic, and have more complex motives than "taking over the world". Sure it's kinda funny and silly to have such a motive, but for me it lacks the necessities of what makes for a great villain. I want a villain I can understand, and to a degree empathize with. A villain who does things that are perceived evil, not because they are evil, but maybe because they think they are doing the right thing. If there is anything that I have learned about evil. It is that it tells us we are doing the right thing when in fact we aren't. It tells us to hate a group of people for reasons that we are justified in, it tells us that we are doing this for their benefit. It tells us that many evils are done in the name of good. It is these concepts I want to see.

I agree with this, my idea above is relatively tame compared to the more complex villains I can think up, I just think the ones I can think up are too dark for this show, as their reasons for doing the bad things they do often involve tragedy or horrible stuff that can't be seen or even mentioned in MLP.

Hmmm, the only real male villain thus far has been Discord, so I approve of another male villain. Good luck to anypony in getting one though. The show's gender ratio is fucked </3

A plain ol pony villian would be kind of boring to me.

Something like discord would be great :D Like, Maybe....ANGEL! Angels getting sick and tired of Fluttershy! He grows evil and wants to rule over equestria!

We need villains with better motives rather than taking over Equestria just for the lulz. (Nightmare Moon is the only exception.)

I too wish for a male villain in FIM. I'd love for him to devilishy smart. The type that is so tricky that he

1)can't be touched by anypony

2)befriends the mane6 to get and edge

3)can convert one or more of the mane6 to his side (without magic)

(Yay my first MLP forum post)

The concept evolves. We wanna see a colt villain. That is a definate. But not your run of the mill evil pony, it seems a tragic past is wanted right? So factor in the possibility for a change to good. Doable I think. The character is becoming complex. So I think that perhaps, this character would have have to be reoccuring to have any more detail as far as personality. I like it. now for the fun part. If not evil for the sake of evil, then why is the character evil? Good past with tragic happenstance, or evil past with mixed feelings about his misled ways? Or something else entirely. This is getting good

The Flim Flam Brothers should totally come back with a lawyer pony and sue the Apple family. Then, in the middle of the trial, the lawyer reveals himself to be the son of Discord. He proceeds to capture the Mane 6 and is only stopped when Vinyl Scratch busts in (she was there to give testimony) and single-hoofedly takes him down.

The villain Daring Doo fought was a male.

The bad teen dragons were male.

Flim and Flam were male...This show doesn't really go through a lot of typical villain types.

I would rather see a colt hero...like Shining Armor come back and do his thing. Maybe learn a bit more about his force field powers.

Hasbro just wants a show to sell plastic toys to little girls. They have no idea what they could be cashing in on.

I think a few male background characters wouldn't hurt sales, or the intent of the show.

Hmmm. New villains...and they need to be male.

How about counterparts to the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They too are blank flanks...but these three are bad boys...bad to the bone.

Kinda like the Rowdy Rough Boys were to the Power Puff Girls.

I think its high time for a Pegasus villain. someone to face off with Rainbow Dash. He likes storms and lightning. He chases ponies with a small thunder cloud and burns down homes with lightning strikes. When he gets in trouble, he races away. He's fast, but is he fast enough? If you want to complicate things give him a costume...now its a who-dun-it?

I HOPE a colt hero is on the way, I would think that is more practical then anything else and honestly should have already been done. Although there have been many male, oppositional characters, none have been a legitimate adversary for the six. The "Blank Flank Boys" idea is great I think

I've got a perfect solution!

Khaos, brother to Discord...

Great but the issue with the concept is Dischord is not just a pony, He is a Dischord, would love to see the idea play out thought.

Well, picture this then.

Discord was more into messing around with everyone, right? Magic like crazy and was powerful enough to get the EoH, right?

Well, Khaos is equal in strength, but more into getting straight to the point. He'd actually succeed in taking over, breaking up the EoH like Discord. His intentions would be to tell the mane six, then have them captured on their way to the EoH. (Celestia would probably place a spell on them making them immune to his magic, or something similar; thus his inability to outright imprison them.) They'd have to venture out into the world to gather the EoH while Khaos is running the entire place into the ground.

Good. How would you incorporate the (necessary) downfall of Khaos

Brohoof for the Pon3/ Vinyl Scratch hero ending

Good. How would you incorporate the (necessary) downfall of Khaos

Throughout the entire (how ever man parts ) episodes, Khaos would be reeking, well, chaos everywhere. He'd see his brother's statue and would magically talk to him, taunting him and talking about how much better he was viewed over their long ago family and how he accomplished what he couldn't.

Discord, out of anger, secretly manages to get Screwball to go out and assist the mane six in recovering the EoH. After they regather them, a final confrontation would be made near the town where everything is miserable and gloomy. The six do there best to fight off Khaos, but can only manage to defend themselves while he attacks. Screwball, witnessing all of this, runs back to Discord and tells him frantically what happens.

Here, Discord has to make a decision he sadly regrets later on. By overpowering his magic, he puts it all into Screwball to transfer back to the mane six where they gain the upper hand and even out the field. With the magic being shot out like so from Discord, the statue begins to crack sending him out from his imprisonment. He gets there near the end of the battle, where he shoots off a major blast of his magic from a surprise attack at Khaos, which would give the mane six the time needed to lay one last strike into Khaos. The EoH would have Khaos strapped deep into a domed bauble, which would shoot him off towards his new home; the moon.

After the battle, Discord's magic from the mane six would dissolve away, leaving Discord much weaker than before. With Equestria returning to its previous appearance, Celestia thanks them and speaks out a small thanks to Discord as well, whom although free can't actually do any major damage anymore due to his magic being dissolved from him from before. He would leave with Screwball where they could make appearances later on messing with the six.

Bam, the perfect villainy episode plot.

Well, on their journey, they'd have to travel outside of Equestria, since Khaos is a dick like that.

They'd actually get to meet other species out there and previous antagonists who may or may not help, Trixie for example. Spike could probably travel with them, he could secretly back and forth send messages to Celestia for advice.

I believe the actual encapturing of Celestia would be good, turn things around for a bit and see how that works out.

How about an episode where the mane six are captured and Spike, Celestia, Luna, and Shining Armor team up to save the day.

It would be nice to highlight some of the more powerful characters in the show.

Of course the villain would have to be epic enough to offer an exciting fight. Maybe with a small army to tangle with the Royal Guard, while the heroes slip inside the fortress.

For this villain: a renegade Griffon noble, the father of Gilda. He wants the griffon throne. Starting a war with Equestria is just the cover he needs to assassinate the king, and then make peace at the last minute saving his kingdom. Of course it has a James Bond ending with a mountaintop fortress exploding, the renegade noble disappears and an orphaned Gilda swears eternal revenge --a blood feud-- with the mane six and Equestria...

I want Daring Do to enlist the help of the Mane 6 to fight Ahuitzol. I'm pretty sure she's real and that series of story books is just one of those adaptations of real life happenings. Ahuitzol is a male, look's weird as buck, and he has this awesome voice.
