What weird dreams have you had

(Realised i posted this in wrong section, its a General discussion topic, other than that. Love to chat with people but)

 

I woke up from a weird dream recently. Where apparently i was making weird arguments to why race swapping cats in movies was wrong.

Too much internet, too much internet.

 

But i guess some scene scared me because the imagery of a orange cat with a teddy bear looking down underneat closed stairs with slight rain you could see through it, in the evening day. Kinda scared me enough to wake me up.

Most of my dreams are kinda weird and scary, so I'll choose a more happy weird one (also cat related for some reason).

I was visiting a friend that didn't exist and hanging out at their house, it was in the woods and at this fairytale-like cottage. We were just messing around when we started hearing this loud meowing sound from outside. We went and there was a litter of kittens that were a ton of different colors. There were like 14 kittens and my dream friend was like "oh I'll just keep this one, you can have the rest". I was scared I wouldn't be able to keep them, but then my mom came to pick me up and said we could (unrealistic since we can't have a cat for multiple reasons, sadly...). I was so happy, and when I got home we already had a ton of stuff for the kittens, even my dogs liked them! I played with them for a little bit until I woke up and was so sad that I didn't have any kittens...

Oh well, it was a nice dream and at least I still have my dogs

I once had a weird dream where I found this little girl who was secretly a robot that was being used to take over the world, but I decided to take her in and stop the villain who planned this.

Last night I dreamed that I was a part of Squid Games, but the game rules were looser, more open to some interpretation like in Task Master?

We were apparently playing more than one game a day, and gotten through the first and moving onto the second. I don't remember what the first was, but we had to bury fake cat poop under cat litter, inside of a pirouette container, like this.

 

We then had to smooth out the surface and place a "perfect circle" on top, using a handful of materials we'd been provided.

We were all doing it at once and only had about 5 minutes to do it. One person claimed to be done, and had traced a circle in the litter, but then it wasn't considered smoothed out anymore, so they were shot, even though time hadn't run out.

A second person claimed to be done, havinf curled a piece of paper so it was rounded but there wasnt a way to connect the ends, so they folded it in this weird way so the circle wasn't perfect, and then they were shot.

I and everyone else was panicking a bit it went right up to the end, when it became apparent that no one had passed. Rather than kill everyone and end the games earlier than expected, they gave us another 5 minutes.

It was the circle that everyone was getting stuck on, so I stopped and just thought about it for a moment, and realized that the lid is a circle. Nowhere did the rules say the circle had to make direct contact with the litter, just that it had to be on top. So by closing the container, I should've been fine.

I call the guard over to say I've finished, and they look at the closed lid and say, I don't think so. Then they look over to the side like someone radioed them, before nodding their head and pick uo the container to remove the lid. The lid caught however, and the nearly lost hold, causing the container to tilt, which shifted the litter enough to expose the fake cat poop. They stood there frozen for a moment, before stating that it wasn't covered. I called them out for shifting it, but it was raised that they couldn't prove it was covered after the lidnwent on since no one could see it. Clearly the guard screwed up, but that technicality had us both on the line. They stood there still frozen while I grew angry, and I guess theybwere discussing what should be done off to the side.

I woke up before they could decide and struggled to sleep well after that. I know it was influenced by me needing to change out the litter boxes and take out the recycling because there's an empty container sitting right on top of my full recycling bin in the kitchen. Also watched the 3rd episode of season 2 just before going to bed.

ugh had a really nasty one last night. 

literally satan talking to me in demon language  still kinda distressed about it tbh. It put it into the dialogue of the game I was playing, so it was like this, except the speaker was labelled "Satan" and the demon language was in all caps.

Aren't brains fun

Lately I have not been able to remember my dreams but my dreams tend to be deeply connected to my emotions or state of mind so they tend to vary in their strangeness.

The weirdest dreams that I have had have helped me to understand deeply complex or intricate matters going on within my own state of being and to help me to either learn more about myself or work through it. 
 

Relating to MLPF, I have also had strange dreams. The typical funny nonsense that you see happening but in an in person setting.

And the strangest one being that someone I barely knew but connected with well enough would prove to be an important friend irl and that actually helped me during one of the strangest times of my life. After I had thought our friendship was over due to having grown distant. And then it actually happened. O.o
 

I feel these dreams are our subconscious minds trying to tell us something and sometimes it is just the mind trying to decompress and babble nonsense like a child enjoying the random noises.

oh, the dream didn't say that. Not sure what it said. I manely think it wasn't meant to be understandable. More, creepy and unknown  I think the only significance of that silly dream is "don't play Icewind Dale late" and also "don't leave youtube running" but I have a susceptibility to horror, so I'm not surprised that my sub-concious brain went "WTF WAKEY WAKEY" friggin nightmares  

 Update - couldn't sleep most of last night because was scared of last night's dream. 😞 Also @Ice Princess Silky <3 villain name should be Trollsky

Coincidentally, last night Vagrant had 3 dreams! That is never happened before! 

1st one is about playing hide and seek with vampires or some ghosts in a abandoned village , more horrible than fun, but still a bit fun. Last two dreams, they ar... are kind of 'adult'. So the first one is weirdest dream Vagrant can remember recently. But he must have more weird dreams before, can't remember these days.

I had a dream there was a final Pokemon movie released before Pokemon Horizons, where a big threat came to the Pokemon world (not sure what) and Ash had to call upon every Legendary he and Pikachu never met

All dreams are a little weird when you think about it. So it’s hard to pick a highlight from a lifetime of strange nocturnal interludes. But off hand, I’ve had just a few lucid dreams, two of which involved cartoon characters (Plucky Duck and Yakko, Wakko & Dot, to be specific). I’ve had dreams of walking through my bedroom walls (which felt like walking through a waterfall), and I’ve had recurring childhood nightmares about a pink plastic puppet lady who always chased me until I turned her into a heap of old soup cans, effectively ending her reign of night terror. Some dreams are super detailed and last all night, and I love those dreams best, and some are just fleeting images. I think ANY dream, even bad ones, are good in some way because they make sleep interesting, even if I wake up in a cold sweat and scared out of my wits. Dreams rock.

Vagrant knew it! He played icewind dale the day before yesterday, and stayed up very late. Is it in heart of winter?

I once had a dream where My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic aired on Adult Swim. Now that both Discovery Family and Adult Swim are owned by Warner Bros Discovery, it could probably happen, though I doubt it actually would as it would confuse viewers, especially those who aren't bronies.

I have one really weird dream. It's about how I lost my right arm and didn't find it when I woke up. I freaked out very badly.

It was a typical horror dream where I had some risk to lose my head and limbs but was felt very real. Details aren't important, the story happened when I woke up. Right after it but before I opened my eyes I understood that it was just a dream and decided to check that all parts of my body are where they should be. So I started checking them one by one touching them with hand (eyes are still closed, remember?). "Legs - check. Left arm - on its place. Head - oh Goodness, it's safe! Right arm... WHERE THE HECK IS MY RIGHT ARM?!" I was unable to find my right arm where it should be and around, I touched all around and still nothing! It was freakin scary several seconds until I woke up on 100% and opened my eyes. I found out that I was trying to find my right arm WITH THE MENTIONED ARM! Silly Crypty ^-^

And if we are talking about the forum related dreams, I had one. Very bright and detailed dream where I met one forum member.

We were meeting in very posh restaurant at dinner. Like VERY fancy. Everything around was in style of 1920s. Interior decorated in Art Deco Jazz and Swing music are being performed by live band. Luxury public around. So we just was sitting and talking about general stuff as it was our first meeting in the lore of dream. So among other topics we was talking about job. She told me that her business is ship building. Like that giant cargo ships. I remember how we discussed ship construction process, shipping market and other business stuff. I remember how strongly impressed I was when I woke up.

A way more later. Several months, to be specific I knew that she likes to play a Cupid and shipping her friends if she feels right about it... So she is LITERALLY BUILDING SHIPS between people! Can you feel how crazy this coincidence does sound?

I was saying how I thought we had gone distant but, like the dream, they became an important part of my life during a strange time. 
 

Oh my gosh, Crypty. First dream was breaking my heart. But second one is my absolute favorite! Thank you for sharing. 
 

I had a strange dream once where I was in a castle, terrified of how dark and intricate it was. So many corridors and uncertainty. Then I learned my way around it all over time and became a master of evading damage and conquering its challenges.

I believe this dream symbolized my anxieties at the time and things that I was facing as well as eventually dominating with flawless victory.
(back then lol! Now I have new challenges and the anxiety is not any less weaker. But my will is stronger!)

I had a strange dream several times when I was a child. I dreamed of two mothers, one looked cheerful, and the other gloomy. I thought these dreams were creepy. I hated these dreams as a child, I would not want to have this dream again. I also remembered several dreams from my childhood. There I was alone at home and someone invisible walked around the house and made noise. These dreams were also creepy. All the events in these dreams happened on a sunny day. I also had some dreams that could seem like a nightmare to someone, but I had fun in these dreams, for example, I dreamed that I was running from the animatronic foxy in my house at night. I had fun in this dream. I also often dreamed of animatronics, but the dreams with them were not creepy, they were funny and I liked these dreams. I had many dreams that many would consider nightmares, but for me these dreams are not nightmares. I consider only the first two dreams that I described at the beginning of the post to be nightmares. I had an interesting dream this summer. In this dream, I visited the USA and met three people from this forum. We walked down the street and then met Donald Trump and Joe Biden, we all went somewhere together. I wrote about this dream in some thread in the summer.
