Heights- I've had times where I get scared (its worse on an airplane) but once I get up there I'm fine 3. Roller Coasters- Yes I'm a coward for saying that but it's true. I was convinced to ride one about 2 years ago and I was crying at the end. @Ahri Kitsune- I'm so sorry to hear that. I feel so bad for you. I've had tornadoes before bur never ripped my house apart. Nightraxx 130 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 (edited) 1. Death of a Family Member : I think the title says it all. I think the only thing harder to cope with and accept than your own death, is the death of someone you dearly love. 2. Heart Disease : I think the one kind of chronic disease i want to be responsible for my death the least would be some kind of Cardiovascular disease. 3. Domnopalus 19 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 (edited) 1. Death of a family member. Coolwar13 said it - I don't care what happens to me. I just don't want to lose those dearest to me. 2. Pregnancy/childbirth. I am DEATHLY afraid of giving birth. I don't want to get into it - it's just a horrifying experience to me in every way. 3. Getting raped/mugged/assaulted/shot at/held at gunpoint or knifepoint/stabbed/clubbed/whatever. Yeah. Violent crime. Edit: Oh I should add, one of my other biggest fears is existing in a dystopian post apocalyptic setting where everyone is slowly suffering---think Book of Eli type of setting. To me that would be beyond absolute hell. Watching my loved ones suffer and die in such undignified ways would just be unbearable. I honestly would rather die than live like that, and probably would take measures to see that I wouldn't continue to exist if the world became that way. Blue Moon 6,341 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 Well, I'm not really scared of anything, but if you insist... 1. Spiders 2. Spiders 3. Spiders Lol, as you can see... I don't like spiders. I'm like Ron from Harry Potter. Yeah, why did there have to be spiders? Why couldn't there just be butterflies instead? (Spiders are terrifying little creatures.) Moonlight 7,287 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 1. Heights - I get extremely nervous being up high. Almost to the point of passing out. 2. Bugs - Bugs are hideous to me, so seeing them doesn't make me feel safe, in the least bit. 3. Death - I have a fear of drowning, falling from heights, being on a bridge collapse, among other things. All of which have to do with death. matching setups with my bff pathfinder
Midnight Seeker 302 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 Humans I have a deep terror of humans. I fear them turning on me, mocking me and thinking me a freak. I don't really trust anyone, and never really feel a part of anything. I never feel accepted, only tolerated for whatever reason. The fact that I am human isn't lost on me.Light. I don't care for heat, and I get sun burnt easily. I need sunglasses to drive, or I get blinding headaches. Light just means exposure to me. I don't like it, and can get very anxious in it. Heaven Ask me about it and I will be extremely angry and rude. This is a warning. I don't want to discuss it. Ask me about it, and you will never want to contact me again. I am not joking. Tual 152 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 Welp.1. The dark. I know that probably sounds childish, but I have a VERY, VERY strong imagination. It tends to make me "hallucinate", or see unreal things. And sometimes those things can be scary. Heck, one day I was constantly shivering, and jittering, and just...So bent out of the norm, due to a certain thing following me EVERYWHERE. It was horrid... But, yeah. 2. Death.I'm constantly death paranoid these days...No clue why. But...I don't want my life to end before it should, and I don't want to ever lose my close ones to it...I don't know what I'd ever do..3.Uhhhh....Needles...Or war. Yeah. Or wasps. Yeah. They can kill me. .-.
Blue Moon 6,341 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 Oh, and walking out in the middle of the night in the dark all alone is probably one of the most terrifying experiences ever in life. I always feel like something is going to jump out and I look behind me to make sure nothing is following me. And you wouldn't believe how fast I run back to my bed. HunterTSN 1,444 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 (edited) 1. Hospitals 2. Doctor's offices 3. Medical facilities Seriously I cannot stand the places. Every time I go in for a checkup my heart rate goes insane and I start hyperventilating. I can't even handle the school nurse. Also to make it clear I'm not afraid of needles, blood, germs, or anything like that. I just really hate hospitals. Atreyu 0 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 3. Clowns. Something about their smile and strange clothing just makes me... uneasy. 2. China dolls. You know, those dolls that open and close their eyes? Ughhhhghghhh. 1. Tornadoes. My biggest fear. I hate them with a passion still, but I used to be a lot worse with this when I was younger and go into panic-attack fits when the tornado sirens went off. Broseph Stalin 103 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 (edited) Hmm... I think my fears are common, but here we go. Death-I wonder what happens, and if there isn't anything I don't want to die, or get stuck in endless darkness. Darkness, or rather what lurks in it. In alleyways and such... i'm just wary of the dark. Being kidnapped- I don't know what would happen, or what I would be able to do. And what I don't know, I don't like. Extra fears-Strange noises. It's the same thing for being kidnapped. I don't know what they are, so I assume one of the things above. Basically any fear I have relates to those 3. Oh, and being jumped and robbed. That why I carry some form of weapon/bayonet(don't ask)/wood. Edited May 3, 2013 by Oireann Professional Lagger, Traitor and Sniper. I'll meet your jihad and raise you one crusade. Corruptvoid 32 May 3, 2013 Share May 3, 2013 #1: Heights. I calculated it out. Anything over 17 feet is a no go, for me. Really, any height I have fallen from, before, I'm okay with. #2: Vampires. Not Twilight vampires. Not dracula. Old school 1930s vampires with the bald heads, freaky eyes and long fingers. Freaks me out when they show up randomly on a NatGeo/Discovery Channel/etc commercial #3: Not sure. I suppose I'm kinda claustrophobic. Not really, tho. kyoki wolfe 134 May 4, 2013 Share May 4, 2013 1) Spiders and Bees: they scare the (insert cuss word) out of me. I've never been stung and I probably won't ever be stung...cause the second I see a bee, I'm running off in the opposite direction. 2) BEING LONELY: I didn't mean to put that in caps... anyways last year I didn't make a single friend and I never want to be left alone again. It's not exactly loneliness I'm scared of, I'm just worried that my friends will hate me and just up and leave me alone and never text or call or anything. They'll just leave. Thinking about it makes me wanna cry. 3) Relationships: No i am not scared of relationships, i'm scared of ruining them. Usually what happens is I go out with someone for about a week and than I flip out and break up with them. I've done this 3 times. So I'm scared I'm going to do this with my current boyfriend. SCS 7,537 May 27, 2013 Share May 27, 2013 1. The Unknown - The unknown has been the source of my both my greatest fears and my greatest joys throughout my life. Depending on the context, the unknown can bring feelings of wonder, mystery, excitement, and determination, or it can bring fear. The unknown has also been a source of my literary and philosophical inspiration, and one of the fundamental driving forces behind my interests. However, the unknown has a powerful impact upon me, and in certain situations it can bring great negativity as opposed to positivity. Throughout my life, I will address this multifaceted issue in at least two ways. Firstly, I will, as Robert Monroe discussed in his book Ultimate Journey, convert Unknowns to Knowns, one of the results of that process being the dissolution of fear. Secondly, I will work on understanding the fact that just because something is unknown does not necessarily mean that it is malicious, frightening, or dangerous, and that being afraid is not necessary. 2. Loss - One of my greatest fears in life is the loss of and/or separation from people who are important to me, as well as things that are important to me. This is one of the reasons behind my interest in philosophy, religion and spirituality. This fear is one of the motivating forces behind my quest for the truth in life. I have come a long way since I first started contemplating the nature of life at the age of 14. In my opinion, we never truly lose the people who are important to us. As spoken in the movie Cloud Atlas: "I believe [that death] is only a door. When it closes, another opens." 3. Rejection - My third greatest fear in life is the fear of social rejection and ridicule. For as long as I can remember, I have been shy around people I do not know well. This is because that when I do not know someone well, whether or not they will reject me is an Unknown, and I usually hide my true self from that person as a result of that fear. I also avoid socially interacting with anyone I do not know well in person in response to this fear. I know that I can, and will overcome this fear. AppleJared 87 May 28, 2013 Share May 28, 2013 One fear is to live without purpose. To not live for any thing or any-one. Going with the flow is one thing, but being a doormat due to my indecisions is terrifying. Another is the unknown. I like to be prepared for things that will happen to me, so when something terrible happens to me, it makes it all the worse when I wasn't ready for it. I worried about what could happen in situations, rather than what probably will happen. Lastly my greatest fear is being a failure. Not failing, exactly, because failing means you tried. Being a failure means that you quit and you did nothing good in your life. I am terrified of leading a life that isn't worth living. I work all the time at several different things but I wonder if they will ever pay off like I hoped they would in the beginning.

WarGrowlmon1990 94 May 29, 2013 Share May 29, 2013 1) Something terrible happening to my baby boy: I'm 26 weeks pregnant with him (I think that's six months) and I've already started gaining these fears. I fear that he may be born stillborn or something bad might happen to him either before or during his birth. I also fear doctors/nurses being too rough with him when he is born. I fear baby kidnappers taking him away from me and sociopathic child killers. I just want him to be healthy, alive and safe and for him to grow up to be happy and successful in whatever he wants to do when he grows up. 2) Something terrible happening to my fiance: We've been together for three years and if we wanted to leave each-other, it would've been done a long time ago. What I do fear though is if anything were to happen to him such as him ending up in a coma or dying. 3) Dying during my pregnancy/dying before I get to see my boy grow up: This one speaks for itself. Not only do I want my son to be born safely, but I want to get to experience watching him grow up and leading him towards the right direction in life.
