Your darkest fears

I don't like Heights. Like being on a plane is awesome. But going in a skyscraper on the top floor and looking down...oh god. Also, I dislike deep water, aliens, tornadoes, spiders, and ghosts. I do not *giggle* at the ghosties, I would probably crap myself.

Well Ms Luna, Was kind of ironic reading that Nightmare moon can't watch horror movies LOL Do you give yourself nightmares?

but seriously... the sorts of things I'm scared of are less easy to avoid

I'm scared of rejection! That people won't accept me right where I am or will find me so unacceptable when they learn the truth about me that they will scoff at my very existence! I'm far less afraid to die than I am of living a life of never being allowed to be just who I am and loved for it despite all!

I think the best way to deal with phobia's is keep on facing them when you're in a safe position to do so.

Like... imagine yourself in the safest place you can think of... then put yourself in the clay, or by the noose, til it feels really uncomfortable! That might be one second at first. Then immediately imagine yourself back in the safe place. Maybe it's in ponyville? then move back to the clay... then ponyville again. Rinse and repeat.

Eventually you desensitize yourself and the times between feeling afraid and uncomfortable get longer and longer til the clay and the noose no longer hold the same power over you.

Mike.

EDIT I think after this post I'm scared of typo's! Sheesh.

My worst fear is black holes. Just the thought of being trapped in the gravity well, knowing nothing in the universe can save you from crashing into a singularity and being compacted into infinite density, not to mention spagettification along the way. I even used to be afraid to flush toilets at night for fear that it would turn into a black hole and suck me in. But that hardly ever happens these days.

A big fear of mine is being suspended upside down (as in stuck) which is a main reason as to why I don't go on rollercoasters with loopy bits on them.

I would also say I have a fear of heights although I have become better at dealing with it over recent years.

I have Pediophobia.

The fear of dolls. Especially those old Victorian ones my mom used to collect. mlp-dawkward.png

I'm not frickin' joking. This is legit.

I'm always afraid that they're plotting something... Behind my back! mlp-fpanic.png

I have acrophobia. I am terrified of heights, and that's one big reason why I don't like going on rollercoasters or on higher floors of hotels or anything like that.

My father always claims he looks into my room to make sure I'm alive... i'm afraid that one day he looks in and see's me dead on the floor and has no idea what to do.  :(

Afraid of there being no meaning to life or anything.  Basically afraid of not having a purpose and having all of existence mean nothing.

I'm claustrophobic, meaning I'm scared to death of being trapped in tight, dark places such as tunnels and caves. mlp-fs-scared.png

I'm also oddly afraid of the sea. More specifically: being lost in the middle of the ocean, with safe land nowhere to be found, at night, under a thunderstorm, with the waves swaying my little boat up and down... And don't even get me started on sea monsters... Sharks. Giant sharks. Giant squids. Ugh... Gives me the goosebumps just thinking about it. D:

I have two fears that are somewhat normal: owls and elevators...and then there's one that I completely don't understand, which is rainbows. This is horribly inconvenient when watching the show. For instance, when Rainbow Dash comes on, I just awkwardly look around and wait for her voice to stop. XD

I'm absolutely terrified of insect larvae, like grubs and maggots and stuff.  After I joined the Navy I discovered that I am afraid of the ocean. No joke on that one. I'm also afraid of clowns, like run and hide type of afraid. I'm afraid of being the center of attention in public.  I can't stand it when a bunch of people are all looking at me.  I break out in a cold sweat and start shaking.

I'm also afraid of making a big enough mistake that it gets me prison/jail time. I think I would kill myself to avoid it.  Because of that I obey the law as if my life depends on it.  Lastly, I'm afraid of hairless cats and dogs. They freak me out.

In space, no one can hear you squee!

I have Spectrophobia and Claustrophobia, meaning I'm ABSOLUTELY terrified of Mirrors and small spaces. I can't be in a room with a mirror alone and I can't stand being in a small room. I just start freaking out and flipping tables.

I have the worst fear of heights but only when I'm stood on something high. For example, stood on top of really tall building is scary but being on a rollercoaster is not. IDK why I'm like that xD

let's love for me

and let's love now

I used to have tons of fears and phobias... spent my whole life terrified of everything up until my anti-anxiety-and-depression meds started kicking in. Now I feel like I can actually do things! I was scared of spiders, bees, wasps, mosquitos, anything medical especially needles, school, talking to people especially adults, men, burglars and people coming in the house to kill us, bullies following me home and killing me, earthquakes, fires, bombs, plagues and diseases, government spying on me and exposing me and everything I've ever done and said to the world, heck I was even scared of people looking at me! Now, I'm mostly just scared of medical stuff and still have some anxiety about things. I get really scared in large spaces, especially if they're crowded. But I think I'm slowly getting over everything. :)

I have a pretty severe case of molluscophobia. I have no idea why. It's just the wild ones. Snails in fish tanks, I'm okay with.

But I stepped on a slug barefoot one time when I was little, and have been terrified ever since then. I'm getting tense just writing their names.

Windsocks, aka Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Men.

DON'T LAUGH! LET ME EXPLAIN.

So I was a little kid, and I was dreaming one night about Kingdom Hearts. Now, if you notice, the Heartless from KH1 move very similarly to a wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man in the wind. So I had a nightmare where a bunch of the heartless just came and started attacking me and I couldn't fight them off in this dream!

I woke up screaming and sweating. I was only 11, after all.

To this day, every time I see a windsock, I get scared because it reminds me of that horrible childhood nightmare.

I'm also afraid of heights and spiders, too.

I hate those things too!  I used to freak out when brought by one as a kid.  Of course now that I'm older I'm indifferent to them, but still.

The only few fears I really have are Xyrophobia, the fear of razors. Coulrophobia, fear of clowns. And Pediophobia, fear of dolls.

My xyrophobia stems from when I cut myself pretty badly when I was 8 rummaging around in a drawer for something. My Coulrophobia comes from the general freakyness of clowns! The only acception is the Joker. The Joker is fucking awesome! I blame my pediophobia on 'Chucky'.

I just got a new fear today, it's flying water bugs. I never seen that crap before, and when it took to the skies I literally ran out the room I was in closed the door and screamed. The freak was massive as well and now I have to... to kill it somehow I might die from the amount of raid I'm going to use.

Claymotion fear? That's interesting but it's alright to be afraid, there's lots of strange things people are afraid of.

My biggest fear is punishment and consequence of actions, which leads me to be a pretty docile person. I fear of failure or getting in any sort of trouble.

I split fears and phobias into 2 separate categories. Even though they shouldn't be split since generally they mean the same thing, I think phobias as some extreme sort of fear, being totally irrational. And a fear as something I dread, with reasoning to it.

Phobias I have in order from most extreme/severe to least;

Arachnophobia (Spiders)

Acrophobia (Heights)

Nyctophobia (The dark)

Driving Phobia/Hodophobia (Driving/Travel)

Claustrophobia (Small closed spaces with no escape)

While on the other hand I have my wrong definition of fears that being;

Afraid of my friends just all leaving me.

Afraid that I'd do something terrible to someone ruining who I try to be.

Scared of a close friend saying that they didn't care about me to begin with, and just saw me as someone to speak when bored.

Fear of failing at anything further more.
