gaming Favorite Pokemon and Pokemon Game

So since Pokemon Black2 & White2 are coming out very soon in North America. I'm curious to ask which Pokemon game is your favorite, also to add which Pokemon is your favorite.

 

I'v played every game at some point or another, but for me i'd say Diamond & Pearl were my personal favorite, the storyline and game was just so different it was awesome. I also always have a hard time choosing my favorite Pokemon.. it's always between Chansey, Scizor, and Darkrai!

My favorite Pokemon would have to Metagross or Dragonite (psuedo-legends for the win!)

 

My favorite game is a tie between Emerald and Crystal. Gen 3 was like a turning point for the series and it had a different type of storyline than the previous games. Also, I really liked the Hoenn region. Crystal was amazing too because of all of the content and the legendaries and whatnot.

My favorite Pokemon has to be Chinchou ... dont ask why its my favorite.

 

And my favorite game is a tie between Yellow and Ruby. Because both of them are sacred to my heart.

FireRed has to be my favorite version, and as for my favorite Pokemon I have to give it up to Gastly and its evolutionary line.

Blastoise is best Pokemon

When i play Pokemon Fire red I always take Squirtle so I can get Blastoise and then learn the Hydro Cannon! And Pokemon Fire Red was my favourite of the games by far

My favorite pokemom is Gallade. Psychic has always been my favorite type, and psychic/fighting is an awesome type combination. The fact that he's a high attack psychic type makes him interesting, and his moveset makes him a total beast with great type coverage. I'm not exactly going competitive with him, but he's great to head up a team when running the E4 for fun.

 

Also, he has swords for elbows. How badass is that?

 

My favorite game is SoulSilver. Crystal was my favorite before, but then HG/SS came out, and somehow managed to improve on what I had seen as the perfect pokemom games. I just prefer SS because I've always liked Lugia more.

Darkrai/Zekrom. They're both awesome. I also like Scyther, and perhaps*Checks pokedex* There's nothing else I also like Chandelure, he's in first in my party :DDD

My favourite Pokemon game is Pokemon White version, since you can get Zekrom :DDDDDD

YEAH.

I used to like Charmander a lot. He's still one of my favorites, for sure. But still, Dragonite. He's an awesome guy.

My favorite game would have to be... Fire Red. It has all the same Pokemon as the OG, but it doesn't have all the glitches, AND you can trade with DS games, if I'm not mistaken.

Favorite game would have to be Ruby, though considering that Gen 3 is my absolute favorite the only deciding factor here is that I prefer Groudon to Kyogre. With that in mind, my favorite pokemon is a tie between two Gen 3 heavyweights: Metagross and Blaziken. Factoring in Blaziken's new dream world ability and is it any wonder both sweep all before them?

Favourite pokemon? Glaceon. It's Sp. Atk makes it lethal to all uber-legendary dragon types. Also, its epically cute and awesome.

Oh god let's not bring the "Pokemon isn't good any more" thing in this thread plz, someone stop me before I rant about it for a few thousand characters

 

Favorite game: Emerald, hands down. It was the first game that really combined every aspect just right: rather than you vs. bad guys, it was bad guys vs. bad guys with you getting caught in the crossfire and generally opposing either at your convenience. The perfect blend of both versions' antagonists, you might say. It also just felt really good to play: more streamlined than Ruby and Sapphire, and, being one of the last GBA games, more refined than most DS games so far. All the kinks were worked out of it, just in time for a big hardware jump. The story never really left you waiting for more stuff to happen, and even in the postgame, there was still an abundance of things to do, most notably the very first (and my favorite) Battle Frontier. It was something that in-game Pokemon had never really been before: challenging. There's no overlevelling your team to curbstomp everything when everything is the same level, and later trainers in there had coherent strategies that worked, rather than the "these moves are kinda cool" of the Gym Leaders. The facilities offered something radically different each time, be it rentals, letting your Pokemon battle without your input, a tournament system, etc. Everything in Emerald came together really nicely for me. As a side note, fairly easy in-game access to all of Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, the Lati of choice, and the Regis can't hurt

 

Favorite Pokemon: There have been a few threads for this, but Pokemon threads here rapidly multiply and die off pretty quickly, so I'll take this as being the circle of life. The sig tells all, although I probably favor Dragonair the most, since it looks pretty damn fly.

I had a giant list of my favorite pokemon from each gen cause I couldn't and wouldn't decide on just a few...but I cant seem to find it on here anywhere

 

Anyway, my fave game would either be Platinum or Sapphire. Sapphire is just awesome. The way it looks is beautiful and I loved how it was its own game by not having a whole lot of the older pokemon in it. Gen 3 will always be best gen!

Platinum won my heart with the scenery in the game. Everything being all winterized just made everything beautiful to look at. Going after Giratina in its world was just spectacular.

At first my favorite Pokemon was Tyranitar because of how beastly it looked and not to mention the incredible move pool it had. All of that changed when Leafeon came in to play. I didn't really like any of the other Eevee evolutions because they seemed rather generic, but Leafeon had a neat design.

 

As for favorite Pokemon game, gotta be Crystal as it was the first in the series to introduce an option of playing as a boy or girl.

Charizard is best pokemon! And as for favorite game, I'm so very torn between Heart Gold/Soul Silver/Crystal and YELLOW it isn't funny. I mean honestly, SURFING. PIKACHU. MINI-GAME. I can't even count the hours I spent sending that little electric mouse flipping through the waves....

i'd have to go with diamond. It was actually the first game i played. i didn't play the games until that came. I had such great memeorys playing that game with my friends and useing the Masterball on Dialga stupidly... Yes I know i should of used it on some other pokemon just bear with me. It will always be my favorite.

My favorite pokemon? Hmm.. thats gonna take some thinking. Ugh i havn't played a game in so long and its late here i can't remember the name... Infernape? i think thats the name. Chimchar was my first choice and i always kept him with me. He was always my strongest, and was the first i got to level 100. Infernape was awesome. imo he is probably the best fire starter. Besides Charizard ofcourse.

My second favorite. Mudkip. Becuase... Mudkip.

Lucario is the best Pokemon! It's very hard to pick which game in my favorite. If I had to pick for GB I would say Silver and Gold. The only game that lets you fight all the gym leaders. GBA would be Emerald, just because it was made well. FInal Black and White for DS. It's just so cool.
