Being bored, I decided to try drawing ponies. I never could pattern so drawing ponies (and shade) seemed like a huge problem.. I can draw a decent horse, but ponies? Lol nope. So I tried to draw as ponyish as possible, but drawing "naturally" - in the way I´m okay with that, not forcing myself. Aaand it ended up like this.

It was supposed to be Rainbow Dash. To me, it looks more like winged Applejack (maybe because of the long mane). What now? The quality is not the best, it´s taken with my slr not the scanner..

Thinking back, I´d like to gift this picture to Nouth (fuck I can´t mention) - for being a RD fan like me, and to be true, the one who inspired me to draw this was him and his suffering of lack of Rainbow Dash. So, here you are. She´s looking after you.

Thank you very much. :) I think I´ve been drawing since I was 2 or 3.. it makes 14-15 years (with gaps, ofc :lol: ). I have no other pony art just my school notes full of sketches, and odosketch art.. most of them very old. I think I´ll make another pony soon, it´s kinda catchy. Thanks again. ^_^

Daww, thanks a lot :) This goes straight into my Folder of Last save (Darnit, you probably know the phrase ,,Krabička poslední záchrany" from Foglar's books or basically anything scout - releated, but it sounds bad when translated into English. Sorry for using Czech here everypony, the Czech part of text means something like ,,the Box of last save".) on my phone, designed to keep ponies at hoof's reach everywhere I go :) Thank you once again, this means quite a lot to me, and she also looks so awesomely cute in that picture... Everyone should get a guardian Dashie to look after them :3.

Also, I shall check if it looks any good when resized, and it will probably soon end up as my profile pic too ^_^ .

No problem at all, thank yourself, if it wasn´t you, I´d never try to draw it .. probably. :lol: And you can try to ask someone who can vector to make you a coloured vector out of this, if you want. ;) (unfortunately, I can´t do that and I know two people here, so... :lol: )

No problem at all, thank yourself, if it wasn´t you, I´d never try to draw it .. probably. :lol: And you can try to ask someone who can vector to make you a coloured vector out of this, if you want. ;) (unfortunately, I can´t do that and I know two people here, so... :lol: )

 

Actually, the drawn version is good enough :) I also forgot to mention that I like the original style of wings. Although they are not show accurate, they look interesting and I like them :).

Thanksthankthanksthanks. :) But I really couldn´t make a pony art which looks 100% cartoon genuine (I don´t know how to say it.. ). I just had to make it a little bit more my-styled. :lol: By the way, just to make thing clear, I´m she. ;)

 

Actually, the drawn version is good enough :) I also forgot to mention that I like the original style of wings. Although they are not show accurate, they look interesting and I like them :).

 

Yaaay I can see you already changed it. Glad you like it. ^_^ And yeah, I can´t draw Faust-wings, I had to give her MY OWN wings! (yeah, they´re mine.) and to be true, I feel like the whole picture is not very show accurate, but I´m ultra glad you like them anyway. ^_^

Actually it´s a self portrait :lol: , the odosketch is page that allows you to show the drawing progress to someone. ^_^ I´ll work hard and one day, I want to be just like you! (a squirrel :lol: )

I hate you in a good way. Your art is absolutely fantastic, and you make my first attempt look like a pile of doo doo :(

This is bloody brilliant! I must say that this is one awesome drawing and damn those wings!! :o

 

How on Earth did you manage to get those lines so crisp and clean? And the shading on the mane and tail is really something to behold!

 

You should be extremely proud of this work... ;)

 

Thanks a lot. :wub: Well, it could be because I'm pushing on the pencil hard, even if I don't want to. Or maybe just the photo makes them look crispier and cleaner. :lol: I really don't know. I'm glad you like the shading, I've always been insecure about the shading, well... I don't have proper colour pencils so it was the only way how to make her mane somehow Rainbowish.. :lol: And thanks again! ^_^

I tried my best to make it look as much showish as possible, but I don't think I could do it more accurate, so all my pony drawigs will be styled like this.. I think. :lol: Brohoof! /)( Hehe, thanks. ^_^ And the gif - that expression, that slow clap! :lol:

I´m glad you like it, thank you! :) I´m sick in the moment so I don´t feel like doing anything during the weekend (anything including outside of my house), so I might draw another tommorow or on Sunday. ;)

I could see Rainbow Dash in it. Doesn't look near enough like Applejack as you think.

 

Oh sorry I don´t follow this topic so I didn´t notice until now. Yeah, that´s my first pony attempt, but I´m trying my best to improve it as much as possible :) And thank you! I´m glad it actually looks like it was supposed to look. ^_^
