Someone finally shares an interest in Deepcool's Tesseract and how that case is most likely the best bang for the buck. <3

Though why the gtx 750 ti? I looked at the one, seems like $159.99 but $139.99 with rebate (card?). It's been a bit though, so prices may have changed.

Basically saying, I found a PowerColor Radeon R9 270 for the same price and it generally performs better then the gtx 750 ti.

Yeah, I couldn't beat it for $35. especially considering it came with two decent fans installed for that price. It looks pretty cool for a budget case as well.

I paid $110 after rebate for my 750ti, it was on sale big time when I nabbed it.

Ah, gocha >w< Was it a rebate card or just flat out rebate?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131545&cm_re=R9_270-_-14-131-545-_-Product <-- is also $110 currently, which may be a steal, though to be completely honest, I look towards ebay first for a graphics card >w<

I bought my Radeon HD 6950 for $75 there.

Rebate card(which I still have to send for)

I'm addicted to Shadowplay now, so I think I'll stick with Nvidia XD.

Ah >w< You'd be one of the few who actually use that kind of stuff to be honest. Nyutin bad about that, I just sometimes prefer looking over Gfx cards (( especially AMD Radeon ones )) because most people will overlook them.

Back before the gtx 980 and 970 came out, the Radeon R9 280 was against the Gtx 760 (( still is techncially )). Most people went with the 760, I dunno why, because technically the R9 280 is faster.. Gimmicks about quality and the usual Intel/Nvidia thing? Anyways.. Today they're pretty much the same price, occasionally you'll find a gtx 760 or R9 280 that's priced a little lower, though depending on how much you really do pay for it, i'd choose one or the other now.

GTX 760 is still a good high/ultra 1080p/60FPS card.

Yeah, I like recording footage and keeping track of my FPS so it's pretty awesome(especially since it's always on and I can just hit the save-hotkey when something cool happens)

Oh, got some new pics of my build:

Well of course it is~ Both the Radeon R9 280 and Gtx 760 are pretty much great cards, better then mine too x3

Lesee... The PC I'm on now has an Athlon II x3 CPU @ 3 Ghz, and I have 2 GB (2 x 1 GB) of DDR3 RAM.

Actually, it's a little less than 2 GB of RAM, because I'm using the onboard AMD/ATI HD 4250 graphics chip.

Current OS is Win XP, but plan on upgrading that when I get an SSD, or, at least, have my brother set up dual-boot.

I plan on upgrading the video card soon, so I can watch 720p and 1080 vids without screen tearing, and audio skipping. :(

Will also need to get the new vid card for Legends of Equestria. :) Would like to resume playing Essence RO again, with it, too.

We have a more beefy PC in the house, an i5 2500 k @4Ghz, and a nvidia GTX 460, with Win 7 on it, for stuff like Dolphin and PCSX2, but my bro uses it the most...

I have two computers, actually. One's a 15" Macbook Pro with retina display running OS X, while the other is an HP Pavilion G6 running Ubuntu 14.04. The HP is the one I used before I started working for my current company, when my boss bought me the Mac as a gift.

Specs incoming!

Mac

OS X Mavericks operating system

Quad-core 2.2GHz i7 processor with 8 virtual cores

Built-in Iris Pro graphics with 1536 VRAM

16GB RAM

15" Retina LCD display with 2880 x 1800 resolution max

256GB SSD

^This would be the beast

HP

Ubuntu 14.04 operating system

AMD A4-3305M Processor

Built-in Radeon HD Graphics

3.5GB RAM

1366 x 768 pixel LCD display

256GB HDD

^And this is an old yet hardy machine. And running Ubuntu as opposed to the standard Windows 7 has extended its life greatly.

I use the Mac for most things, but I'll occasionally break out the HP so I can multi-task, since I have no monitors to hook into.

Oh yeah, and when I first got the Mac, I installed Ubuntu 14.04, but upgrading the firmware by doing the Yosemite upgrade broke the boot loader so I wasn't able to boot Ubuntu anymore. I did a bunch of tweaking and successfully bricked the computer, leading to me having OS X Mavericks reinstalled and just flat out not bothering with the pain anymore. I've grudgingly come to accept OS X, though, and TBH it isn't as bad as I thought, despite it obviously being designed for those who literally have never used a computer before.

Oh yeah, and the SSD is lightning quick. Much better than the old HDDs.

Also note, it's not that I don't like AMD, cause that's what I switched from.. I just wanted to try something new :3 I plan to give my spare bits possibly away to someone in need. Mainly case, and both processor/mobo.

Processor: AMD FX-4100

Ram: 8GB DDR 3

HDD: 1.5 TB 7800 rpm and 750 5200 rpm (don't ask why i went really cheap with the hard drive at first)Graphics card:

Radeon HD 6850

OS: Dual boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu

Mother: I don't remember it's an older ASUS board.

I did a cheap build awhile back as my graduation present from school, around the time I built it there was flooding in Twain and hard drive prices spiked so I could only afford a 750 GB drive at 5200 rpm, I later got my other drive dirt cheap during a sale on Newegg. I'm looking to either upgrade my graphics card or just wait it out and just build a whole new system, since i can run most games but when I launch newer games you can see it's age basically.

DELL-INSPIRON-N5050.jpg

Just an average joe laptop with an i3 and HD 3000. It's able to do the basics well, but playing modern games at a decent FPS is out of the question.

I'd like to invest in a solid gaming laptop or desktop sometime soon.
