How open are you about ponies?

Oh, I get made fun of all the time for liking it, but I don't care. I'm that type of girl who just fills her science note book with Luna sketches. I have MLP headphones, and I also made a presentation of MLP in front of my class, and I have horrible peer pressure issues! At least I explained that it had great characters, and humor, and people, although too afraid to say they liked it, deep inside, I think I did my job.

I wish I could fill you guys up on how much pony is on my school stuff, but I'm at school right now. XD

Although people in my school district, at least the older ones, know of the brony fandom, and don;t get it, but I always tell them to just watch it, and maybe you'll see.

Im not open about it at all. At least unless someone near me references it or has something that relates to ponies ( shirts, plushies and other merchandise) Otherwise my lip is zipped.

While I do carry subtle hints of my love for the show, I don't trot around with a FiM shirt nor do I openly talk about it. The only time I have talked about FiM or have even mentioned that I watch it is when the conversation is appropriate. It's much like when I was going through my anime phase, my very first being Sailor Moon. I loved that show but thought that my fellow friends would ridicule me if I ever told them openly. The first time I was actually able to talk about it was when I found out that one of my own friends watched it years later. We knew why we didn't speak of it when we were younger, because it just wasn't appropriate at the time and lots of kids judge quite harshly.

I suppose what I'm trying to get at is that there's some things you tell people, and some things you don't. For me I won't ever talk about FiM or ponies unless the conversation or situation is appropriate. There's a reason why some people dislike the term 'brony' after all.

If you do not GO after what you want, you'll never have it. If you do not ASK, the answer will always be NO.

If you do not step froward, you'll always be in the same place.

I'm not really open about it at all. I don't think any of my friends know I like MLP only my brother and my dad do and my dad thinks its disturbing that I watch it.

Dads care about their children, but they usually want their children to be like them... In a way, it could be that your dad doesn't want you to be bullied.

Life is like an MMORPG, but with fewer fantasy weapons and more soul-crushing nihilistic despair that visits when you least need it.

My close friends know I am but, my parents don't also a few people at school know. Those that don't really know only don't because they don't ask, I mean the background for my IPad (which I take and use at school everyday) has a background of Fluttershy. But, some never ask so some never know, I do think my parents might know if there were some decent con's to go to in Australia (you know that place where everything tries to kill you, no not Russia the other one). As they would realistically need to give there permission (as I don't really sneak out the house or whatever it is that stereotypical teenagers do)

Im very open with it. I usually don't come straight out to completely random strangers IRL but If I start talking to the person its on my top 5 things to talk about.

I don't mention anything about it unless someone begins to talk or reference it. I also don't go blasting it out in public such as wearing horns and t-shirts and the lot or do any kind of "brohoof" in public which seems to enrage a number of people. When my friends saw some episodes on my USB and found out, they thought I was weird but didn't really care any more.  Family is completely cool with it, seeing as they don't give a damn. But strangers are a different story. Wallpapers etc are immediately changed when a stranger visits.

I'm not exactly closed about it. But I don't scream and shout about it either.

If you come into my room, you'll see some of my pony merch, and if you went on my computer, you;d know, but other than that I'm pretty sure no-one really cares, so I don't talk about it.

Besides, I have plenty of other interesting topics I can speak about.

I don't hide it, but I don't brag about it either. I've got some merch, my facebook profile is a bit ponified (I work at Rainbow Factory and study magic at Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns) :D If somebody asked me if I'm a brony I'd say yes. And I ordered myself a very nice Discord t-shirt :)

Check out my DA! (If you dare...)

I'm 100% open about it. I have shirts and other apparel that I wear in public with no problem what so ever. Whenever someone asks me about it I get really passionate about it. No one has ever given me a hard time about it other than my Internet friends and even they are pretty understanding and tolerant about it. I'm not really afraid of haters because I have very thick skin and I know how to troll the haters.

Sig made by me. Surprisingly it came out somewhat decent.

I don't go shouting it from the highest mountains or anything, but I'd say I'm very open about it. I enjoy wearing my pony shirts out in public, no matter where, or with whom (I even wear a pony-themed wristband at work) and I'm a regular sight at local Hot Topics and similar places looking for new pony stuff. I often go to the library to draw and I have no problem with openly drawing ponies. I blast pony music in the car. My Facebook is also pretty well ponified. A good deal of my friends already know and either don't mind/care or at worst just kinda bust my chops occasionally. In fact, I wish more people would know that I like ponies because maybe I meet some new friends who also like MLP that I otherwise would never have met.

The only think I haven't really had the guts to do yet, is go into Build-a-Bear and buy me one of those awesome plushies. I want one so baaaaaddddd, but for some reason I can't get over how people might look at me as a lone grown man in a kid's plushie store gleefully building a Rainbow Dash with such deep gusto.

I used to be embarrassed but then suddenly I stopped caring. mostly because everyone else did too. My brother still shuns me for it, but the rest of my friends know it and they try not to judge me for it.

I don't go around shoving it in peoples face's, but if they ask I say yeah.

I also quote the heck out of it, and whenever I do all my brony friends laugh a little harder.

My future-sister-in-law draws ponies for her brother (She's an amazing graphic artist), so I think i'm going to ask her to make me a luna for my pic :)

Pretty open about it nowadays! While I don't initiate conversation about it, I'm more than open to letting people know my interests/fondness in the situation.  I don't have any merchandise (At the moment!~) but I make OC's/stories regarding it like crazy, and I don't hide it like I (admittedly) used to.  Pretty much everyone that considers themselves close to me knows. tongue.png
