What if the next major villain was...Celestia?

This would be such a awesome fanfiction for someone to write or at least, a episode Hasbro should write. Celestia would be corrupted then Twilight, Luna, The rest of the Elements of Harmony, would have to defeat Celestia to return her back to her un-corrupted self.

How about having her evil name be Daydream sun? Naw, sounds too happy. Really though, I think it would look like a fanfic-inspired episode. On Hasbro's part, they would totally say NO. I mean really, all they care about is the toys, and the actual demographic audience would probably run away crying (think about it x3).

Considering her sisters previous insanity, her very own cruel way of handling things, and her extreme power, could Celestia become a future enemy of the mane 6?   

 

It would make a lot of sense if Celestia ever suspected that Twilight might get in her way, but maybe that's just my hate for her speaking too loudly.

Hmm. I have never, ever, considered that. Which is exactly why it would be a very interesting and entertaining twist!

 

Not sure how that would happen though. From what I have seen, (I am only on season 2), she seems to be too kind hearted to become a villain/enemy of the mane six.

Ever since we've seen her use Dark Magic, I thought that may be a possibility in the future.

 

And especially seeing what happened in S4E1 that made Celestia imprison Luna into the moon, you'd think maybe she'd try to reason with her sister more before trapping her for, what was it, 1000 years or so?

Judging from what's she has done in the past, plus that she imprisoned Luna in the moon for 1000 years and being able to use dark magic at will. She could be a very worthy foe for the Mane 6 but, she is too kind hearted.

Perhaps that was due to the time limit of the episodes. Everything seemed a little rushed in more than a few moments.

I somehow doubt that would happen, after all it is still a kid's show in Hasbro's mind, no matter how happy they try to make us.

I understand that she comes off as kind hearted, but don't most villains try to do that as well? A perfect example would be Chrysalis to Twi's friends, and if Chrysalis knew Twi would become an Alicorn wouldn't she try to act kinder to her as well?

Making Celestia evil is not much different from making Luna evil (again) except that it would be a dramatic plot twist given what we know her to be. Although it's an interesting concept I'd rather create a new villain that's worthy of the mane 6.
