This used to be about making an image to get Faust on our site, but we decided to make it a thank-you card using all of our OCs. Right now I have 13, including mine.

I don't think it's a good idea to go bugging someone whom we all respect just to get her to join this site. I'm sure she knows about it, and even if she were to join, there's no way you'd get any inside information from her. This reminds me of a homemade documentary I saw, in which some teenagers drove to J.D. Salinger's house a couple years before he died and bugged him about Catcher in the Rye when all he wanted was to be left alone. I respect your effort, and I think it would be a great idea to make the picture just as a thank you card to Lauren Faust for creating this show in the first place, however, I don't think we should be trying to get her to join the site.

I appreciate what you're trying to do, but I don't think it's a good idea. People join this and every other site because they found something there of interest to them. You can't just tell her to come here and expect her to do it. For all we know she may already be a member or a lurker, she just keeps it on the down-low to avoid getting hassled. Someone of her reputation can't participate in the everyday social things that we do without getting hounded by fans, and she would definitely have that problem here. Honestly, I wouldn't want her to come here even by finding the place herself, for the sake of her peace of mind as well as our reputation.

 

And she's a woman almost 40 years-old. There probably isn't much that would interest her to be found on a forum like this one that's populated mostly by kids and young adults, not unless she's an internet dweller who is long past the point of being creeped out. Tara isn't quite to that point yet but she's well on her way.

I also agree, you don't want to bother Lauren Faust about this. I'm sure she looks through the forums every once in awhile, we have contact enough with her through her deviant art. But just like mentioned above, maybe we can all submit our own pony OC to you and you can compile them into a picture as a thank you to Lauren Faust for giving us a wonderful community to come to. I think that would be a better idea, show our appreciation rather than annoyance.

Lauren Faust is a busy woman, I think. It's a bad idea for us to bug someone we respect with something like this, especially since I think she probably has a dozen other groups trying to do the exact same thing.

 

If we want to do something to show our appreciation, I suggest doing something regarding Galaxy Girls or something.

I'm personally against actively seeking to get famous people to join the site, it seems like little more than a cheap attempt to boost the site's status and maybe get some free spoilers out of it. We should instead to just strive to be the most kickass pony site ever, maximizing the chances that, should any famous person want to join a pony forum, MLPF is #1 on the list.

This would have to also involve Powerpuff Girls and Superfriends to fully garner her attention.

She doesn't even give very much of a word to Equestria Daily, let alone us.
