Actually. I can see why people like him. Its quite obvious.

But it annoys me when people can't see that he is acting. Thats what bugs me the most. Also i never spoke of everyone.

I used to be a bro, when he had like 100subs -10k subs. Then he was scared for real, and there was no Happy wheels bullshit.

Also, one of the main reasons i decided to quit watching him was because his fanbase is the worst on Youtube. His "fans" keeps on going to other videos with the games he playes and say that they copy him..... Even if their video was out before PewDiePie's.

 

When PewDiePie is not acting. Like on his fridays thingy.

Then i really like him. He got a sweet personality and he is just like me.

Speaking of the old days, I decided to dig up his first Amnesia LP. This was back all the way in 2010, and he had pretty much no subs at all . While he does have the classic "PeeeewDiePieee" intro, he is a LOT more chill. It's funny, to think that Pewds started off with Call of Duty videos, only to become the biggest horror gamer on YouTube (Well, he's more or less THE biggest gamer on YouTube).

 

You know what's kinda ironic? PewDie said in his first ever Amnesia video (From December 2010) that he thinks a lot of people try to make horror games into a joke, and while he liked that a lot, he wasn't gonna do that and try to make the experience as real as possible. He was actually a very legit guy at first and almost all, if not all his reactions were of real terror early on, even in 2011 and early 2012. However, looks like fame got to his head, and he actually did started to make it into more of a joke than anything. So he pretty much did what he tried not to do in his original Amnesia LP. I'm just gonna leave a link to that vid here.....this is where it all started .

After carefully reading past the posts supporting and un-supporting him, I have come to a conclusion.

 

If you like him, good for you.

If you don't like him, good for you.

 

Stop biting and complaining either way.

Find someone who doesn't like him? Ignore it. You don't have to follow their views.

 

But if you don't like him and find a group of people who do, don't try to 1-up everyone by trying to prove he is "so stupid".

People have their tastes in entertainment. Someone will always find something different than you do.

 

That doesn't mean you have to try and change that. Just find your own opinion, and keep it to yourself.

I was one of the early bros, and one of those who constantly complains about the new vids. 

I don't say anything in his vids, I just simply think "Why am I still subscribed to this guy?" 

He was funny at one point, but he completely sucks the feeling out of every game involving sad deaths, he could barely even keep a straight face during "The Walking Dead"

 

The rape jokes and all of that other crap are just contributing to the fact that I don't like him anymore. Not to mention the fanbase which spams every video saying "OMFGBBQ YOUR COPYING PEWDIE" Not everyone is like that, but it's growing by the day, I'm watching videos from less known LP'ers and they're spammed with "STOP COPYING PEWDIE, U BARREL" which was one of the first things I started to pay attention to. I know one of you is gonna probably send the "Copying" video and how Pewdie told it's "Bro" army to stop, I've seen plenty of his videos, I called myself a loyal bro for some time, I loved many series he had, and I still do, but he seems to be over selling now, watching his older videos make him look like a completely different person. Watching his Amnesia series back from late 2010/early 2011 reminds me just how much he's changed. He's a lot more quiet, although kinda sucks at solving puzzles. Plus, he didn't call the statuette Stephano, the barrels "barrels", etc. A little too quiet, for me. I'd say his high point was in late 2011/early 2012, where his personality still felt legit but he was certainly becoming more silly. A nice, healthy medium between the two . For instance......

After looking at his Bully LP for a little, I kinda like him more as a normal LPer than a horror gamer. I mean, he's still doing an LP if he's doing horror games, but I feel like he's a tiny bit more legit and less overreactive (Since there's no scares really) in games outside of the horror genre, like McPixel. That was probably mah favorite non-Amnesia LP from PewDiePie ever . Half of it was from the game itself, but a lot of it was from PewDie's reactions to the strange shit as well. McPixel is so strange that even PewDie was like "This makes no sense at all?" when playing it .

Personally, I find moronic screaming and rape jokes very unfunny. He only makes the videos for the money, he doesnt think about that he's saying the exact same thing, and his videos are shoddy

I am personally not a fan of PewDiePie's work. I've only known about him for a little over a year and I can't really say his videos are for me. I don't watch many LP's. If I like the player's voice, I'll listen to the video on another tab in the background and that's about it. Like you said, I think he swears too much and his videos and he can get quite a bit obnoxious. No offense to any of his fans. He might be a real nice person in real life, but I just can't say I love his videos.

I never really liked a lot of his videos. Some of them were funny or enjoyable now they just don't seem great anymore. He can also get annoying now as well. And in my opinion he doesn't deserve that many subscriber. Many of the top people have spent years upon years with a ton of work and usually with a bunch of people helping them. Many of them started in the early days of Youtube. He just got that many in about two years with the help of not a lot of people. I just don't get it... at least his isn't a bad guy in real life though.

I liked him when he was posting Amnesia and Happy Wheels videos. I enjoyed most of videos he was uploading later. But since some time he really got awfully worse and his jokes seem to be forced all the time. Just look at prop hunt videos. At first they were very funny. But then he seemed to try hard to make them even funnier and ended up with quite opposite results. Overall I don't even have motivation anymore to even watch his new videos. Also his fanbasee... it's just awful, at least one certain "PEWDS BROUGHT ME HERE" and "YOU ARE PEWDS WANNABE" part of it -_-

I enjoy Pewd's videos, as the swearing really doesn't bother me (I tend to find it funny most of the time).  I will admit that some of his more recent videos I've found somewhat annoying, though I think the biggest thing that's been keeping me from watching a number of his more recent ones have just been the games he's been picking.

 

I've enjoyed that by following his videos I've gotten to experience, if not play for myself, some great games that I would never have chosen to pick up.  I also enjoy the videos where he plays what seem to be the most random games he can find, since they're a funny little break from my usual day.

 

However I don't understand why so many of his followers (I refuse to refer to us as bro's outside of one of his videos) are so blatantly devoted to him.  There are other great video gaming youtubers, and I watch a number of them as well.  It's not fair to be so mindlessly obsessed with one internet sensation, and I don't understand the thinking behind it.

The Game Theorist on youtube did a video on why PewDiePie is so popular. Interesting watch on how he (unwittingly) got that way. Also, he's a good looking guy.

I don't know if I'm furthering the thread anymore by saying this stuff, but. I'm not personally a fan of his work, but he's a genuine good person, and is using his youtube fame for good, I mean he's gotten his fans to donate to some charities, and brought attention to that kinda stuff. I'm happy that he has his subscription base and is using it for good. Rather than Smosh's trying to get 25k(?) out of their fans (For something I doubt they'll do), but that's not the point here. I'm not personally a fan of his stuff (I like Mangaminx/TheRPGminx more, and she's done some videos with him) but I'm happy he has his fame, and not some lesser people who would abuse it.
