Agreed! I was thinking more of a temporary loss, though, where Spike runs away from home out of anger, but eventually reconciles with Twilight and comes home. I don't know if I would like to see an episode of him permanently leaving. Yes, we know that time will come eventually, but I think such a sad plot would be best left alone for fanfics and speculation. If the writers decide to do that though and pull it off really well, then I'd be fine with that too.
