“All right. Since you really wanna know...” here are five things I love about Fluttershy!

WARNING: Fluttershy might become one of your three favorite ponies if you read this. 

1. Fluttershy is the Element of Kindness. This is obvious, but we have to start here. Although she's painfully shy, her demeanor is very endearing to those who take the time to know her. Patience often goes hand in hand with kindness, and Fluttershy is also one of the most patient ponies you'll ever meet. Some of Fluttershy’s detractors may complain that she is too placating, a person who acts super nice and polite because they are afraid of criticism, ridicule, and rejection from others. And, to be sure, Fluttershy does fear all that.  They are why she went inside a protective shell in the first place. But if we carefully weigh Fluttershy’s words and deeds throughout the series, we see that it's a kind heart that beats inside her chest, not a cowardly one.

2. Fluttershy's love of and devotion to animals. Her kindness and patience carry her a long way here, enabling her to manage many types of creatures, each with unique needs. Unlike ponies or other sapient beings, animals don't judge, laugh at, or insult anybody. That's why Fluttershy is truly free, happy, and outgoing when she is with them.

3. Fluttershy is beautiful and adorably cute. Do I really have to explain this one? I can mention her successful run as a model, her squees, and her interactions with critters. It shouldn't be legal for a mare to be so lovable! 

4. When the rubber meets the road, Fluttershy is as brave as anypony else. This is the first of her two great ironies. Due to her anxieties and phobias, she can be impeded by and, on occasion, paralyzed by fear of whatever is coming. But sometimes it falls on Fluttershy to act because her friends cannot.  In that case, she acts bravely and decisively. The most striking example of this is seen in “Dragonshy”. And when Rainbow Dash needed her help in “Hurricane Fluttershy”, she courageously refused to give in to her demons. Without this intestinal fortitude, she couldn't be one of the Elements of Harmony in the first place.

5. Kindness is her response to the cruelty she endured as a child. This is Fluttershy’s other great irony and it’s also the most heartwarming part of her tale. This is a classic “from out of tragedy comes triumph” story. As far as we know, Fluttershy didn't suffer from material poverty or severe physical assaults. But the bully inflicted psychological trauma was as real as multiple kicks to the gut. We hear so much about the kids who grow up with hardship and misery. Many bullied children fall between the cracks and become troubled themselves. What we don't hear about as often and take for granted are the hard knock kids who surmount those obstacles.  Despite long odds, these unsung heroes go on to achieve in school and in life. They refuse to let bad things dictate a life of crime or unhappiness. The inner strength required to do this is substantial and it's another positive trait Fluttershy has. It also needs to be said that the support of her one true friend, Rainbow Dash, was instrumental in helping her pull through.

With her history of being mistreated by her peers, it would’ve been very easy for Fluttershy to embrace resentment and hatred. Nonetheless, she had a choice, and she chose a  different path. The doorway to that path was opened the day she fell out of the sky. The cartoon's unique perspective of her fall down from Cloudsdale can even be said to symbolize Fluttershy leaving all the sad events of the past behind and never looking back. A new life on the ground was a fresh start for her. She knew what it's like to be teased and hurt and so she practices the Golden Rule in her dealings with others. We don't know exactly what happened between “The Cutie Mark Chronicles” and the present day except that Fluttershy grew up and became a professional animal caretaker. But all signs point to life being markedly better for her since leaving Cloudsdale.

Although the original wounds have healed, the scars remain. Sometimes present day events can rip them open again. In extreme cases, this old pain may manifest itself as  hysterical crying, white-hot rage, or toxic meanness. Also, Fluttershy's shyness is so deeply rooted that, despite temporarily beating it a few times, she'll probably have to struggle with it for the rest of her life. But she doesn't have to go it alone because she now has five great friends she can lean on as she continues her journey.

1. Shes the character I can relate to the most. I'm a very kind person generally, and also very shy and quiet, but get me ticked and I'm not so kind anymore .

 

2. She is absolutely adorable!!!!!! Seriously i know everyone says it but... well theres a good reason! Its freaking true! Of course all the ponies are pretty adorable, but she tends to be adorable the most.

 

3. Her shyness puts her into some funny situations actually, for some reason I almost find some of her shyness funny, or rather the situation she creates(Common examples her "yay" and stuff like that.)

 

4. Her kindness is an admirable trait, which I think is a good trait to have. 

 

5. She stands up for her friends when she really needs to, and its awesome.

My favourite pony is Applejack.

DJ-Pon3 is a STAGE name.. someone at EQD needs to be beat with a concrete filled whiffle bat, and whoever made it "official" at Hasbro needs a good whack in the back of the head with it too.. I mean that name doesn't even fit the MLP naming scheme.. Vinyl Scratch def does however... and this from a guy that finds most "controversial" parts of this fandom laughably stupid...

She's everything I'd want in a woman and more! There's some faults to her that I probably wouldn't like if it was anybody else, but love has a way of letting you ignore those faults.

Apple Bloom: (I can come up with loooots of reasons)

 

1) She is extremely cute and adorable.

2) The southern accent is very likeable and again, cute.

3) She can relate to me in many ways.

4) Her implyed special talent is building things, and heck, that's one of my talents, I love building things like houses and stuff like that and I like that implyed special talent.

5) Like me, she doesn't exactly know what she wants to do for her future I guess.

 

Those seem to be good reasons, but I have many reasons why I think Apple Bloom is best pony, and that will never change.

Rainbow Dash is definitely the best pony. Without a doubt.

1. She adventureous. She always wants to go wherever the action is.

2. She is always ready for a fight and even on the impulsive side on that spectrum. Look when she faced Discord or kicked the dragon straight in the face.

3. She represents her Element of Harmony to the fullest extent. She always sticks by her friends and wouldn't abandon them for all of Equestria.

4. She's a leader. Who doesn't like somepony who can take any group and lead them to victory.

5. She's determined. Rainbow Dash always tries to get things done. Even when the odds aren't in her favor. And I love her hard will set on becoming a Wonderbolt. I hope she accomplishes it.

Scootaloo, definitely.

 

1.Cute design that's unique to her. Other then a few pesky recolors, her mane style seems solely hers, even to the very loved background ponies. 

2.Despite her wings randomly popping out, its so cute. Her way of acting and her movements are solely her own. Despite having so many kids in her class and background ponies, her movements and how she responds is unique. Her wings are always open (if not, they always end UP open at some point in time) and she flares them when she's showing deep emotion. The way she talks and the way she responds on her scooter is much different then anypony else. (BUZZZZZZZZZZZ)

3.She's mysterious, we don't know much about her and its somewhat fun to see different traits when she IS in the show and has some time to air. She's really emotional and deep, like she's hiding something.

4.She's the best at what she does. She has a concept that isn't shown by others throughout the show. She can use her skills to do multiple talents like dancing and stunts. She's unique because no other pony has those skills. 

5.She's very brave and will stick up for her friends no matter what.

My favorite pony is Twilight.

 

1. She's a genius. Canonically one of the smartest ponies in the series. Her affinity with machines alludes to her being the most mechanical savvy Unicorn in town. Even with magic and an implied inability to comprehend that which she doesn't understand she can still hold up.

 

2. I like to imagine that she suffers from OCD or Manic Depression with a pinch of psychopathy and/or Autism. And no I am not projecting, I assume these because of the mental breaks that she's had in several episodes. While giving names to her conditions is a bit of a stretch, she does have a condition and it adds to her appeal that she has actual problems.

 

3. I am in love with Tara Strong, and I know that she can demonstrate all kinds of nifty vocal things with her mood.

 

4. Twilight USED to be in the magical equivalent of college, which made her a beacon for people trying their hardest to get by in school.

 

5. She's a purple pony princess. That's awesome.
