Luna is taller than a normal mare. Not as much as Celestia, of course, but still taller. In this image, she seems to be the size of a normal mare.

Hmm Sweetie belle mentioned something Rarity did at her 5th birthday. Could this be a flashback. Because my headcannon is that the cmc are around 8.

This clip is making my mouth water from all of the little details. Sweetie Belle is upset at Rarity for something related to the dresses, likely because of how GOOD they are that it diverts attention from her to Rarity's craft. Rarity's bewilderment and concern for Sweetie's well-being are other nice touches.

 

Previous comments paralleled Sweetie Belle to Luna, and I reckon if Luna will reference it this Saturday. We'll see. ^__^

The only conclusion I can draw from this is that the door squeaks as well as Sweetie Belle.

This episode is going to be VERY interesting. I hope they DO make a parallel between the two pair of sisters.

I certainly wouldn't go as far as calling it her 'belittling' Sweetie Belle; Rarity clearly doesn't understand why Sweetie is so upset and the latter herself is spending too much time raving angrily to properly explain to her how she feels and just storms off.

Sweetie Bell was the main actress of a play in which it was her spotlight. Rarity's dresses trumped Sweetie Bell's spotlight performance.

 

Sweetie Belle thinks Rarity is a harpy (a predatory pony) and ruined one of the best moments of her life.

 

Sweetie Belle is clouded by jealousy and/or pride, so she wants to hurt Rarity for revenge.

 

Luna comes in to help clear Sweetie Belle's head. Maybe figure out that Sweetie Belle wasn't really the best in the spotlight as she had believed.

Meghan promised a SpRarity episode with a reference to some 90s movie, looks like this is going to be it.  Spike better not get any funny ideas.  Rarity belongs to Thunderlane and no pony else!

 

Only three episodes left.  I think the 89th episode will be another filler episode.  Number 90 will probably be Twilight's key episode and lead into the last episode of the season.

 

Another update, thanks to that tease from McCarthy ages ago, I can say beyond a reasonable doubt that Flim and Flam will sing in Leap of Faith.  Looks like the comics were right about their per-disposition to sing.

Rarity loses her creativity and Spike finds a spell to help her get it back.

As a big Sparity fan, seeing a Spike/Rarity bonding will make me happy. Their friendship was explored last during Simple Ways where HE was the mature half of the group and Rarity the out-of-character oaf, but there's plenty of material to cover.

 

Hopefully, like in SW, Spike is treated with respect instead of a butt of jokes. And I hope Rarity gets the same respect like in RTM and FV.

It doesn't matter who's starring, period. As long as the episodes features in-character, three-dimensional characterization; a respect for continuity; a lack of shortcuts; good logic and common sense; and great storytelling altogether, it'll raise the grade for season four.

This is the first time we've seen the CMC wearing dresses since A Canterlot Wedding, if I'm recalling correctly, and this seems to be for some play nontheless. Very nice.

Hmm A Spike episode where Spike lights the torch. We've only had one Spike episode this season so that's good. Does that mean the finale is gonna be the games well opening the box. This finale sure sounds ambitious

Summary:

Spike is in charge of lighting the torch for the opening of the Equestria Games, but his nerves get the best of him.
