As much as vinyl is best pony, I don't actually like much dubstep. I don't know why the fandom chose that as her signature genre considering she is actually a DJ and DJ's usually mix Dance/Hard-dance music and considering dubstep is bass music not Dance music, it doesn't really make much sense that she's associated with dubstep

I'd have to say it's because dubstep is kind of seen (at least from my perspective) as the "popular" kind of electronic music these days, at least on the internet.

 

I don't necessarily associate her with dubstep. However, it was this album by YourEnigma that really turned me. Ended up reading University Days because of it. Now I'm in LOVE with the VinylxOctavia ship ^_^

Is that what it's called? I've been calling it ScratchTavia for about a week now. At least this ship has various good names. Rarijack is the best you can get out of combining those two, and even it's not the most attractive sounding. And I personally consider her more of a dance/house kinda gal, though that doesn't mean she's those exclusively.
