I was just wondering if there were fans of the band: Coldplay. It is probably my favorite band ever, but there seems to be very few fans other than me on this site. So I decided to create this thread to find more fans. If you are a fan, I guess post something below. Perhaps your favorite song or album.

 

My favorite is Strawberry Swing. It is so nice and the music video is so unique. My favorite album would be Viva la Vida or Death and all his Friends.

I'm definitely not a Coldplay fan, I just really can't get into their music. most of their songs are good for only the first 3 or 4 times you listen to them. Though there was one point where I actually did like them, but as of now they're not a pick of mine. I guess all in all, they aren't a terrible band, but I'm not a fan

I like the songs Clocks, Viva la Vida, Speed of Sound, and Life in Technicolor ii. I always thought Coldplay had some pretty good music. Great band!

Viva la Vida fits the royal sisters to me. If I make a PMV, I'd make one with Violet Hill, Viva la Vida, and Strawberry Swing. With one final one using Death and All His Friends.

Um...Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Creep by Radiohead. I may be wrong. but I don't think that is a song by Coldplay. But Creep is a good song.

Anyway, I'm a pretty big Coldplay fan. I've heard every album by them except Parachutes. To be honest, Mylo Xyloto is probably my favorite album by them. Then Viva, X & Y, and A Rush Of Blood.

I see that you and I share the same taste in favorite songs by Coldplay. I would just add Cemeteries in London, Fix You, The Scientist.  Shiver, Clocks, Paradise...Oh who am I kidding. I love all their songs. (Except The Hardest Part. I never really liked that song.)

 

I would love to see a PMV of Violet Hill and Death and all his Friends. Those are very underrated songs and are amazing.

You're both right. I read the title incorrectly (dyslectic). When I have time I will look up songs from the correct band. I'm so sorry. 

 

Actually, my favourite Coldplay song is Brothers and Sisters.

I think the main problem is that their reputation is alt-rock, and their music is more.... pop with a rock tinge, I guess.

Oh yes, I love that video. It is my favorite music video of Coldplay. It is so unique and it must have taken a lot of work to do. Stopmotion is very difficult.

I like both equally as much. I feel like the non-piano version has the perfect balance between...I guess it's kinda pop, and mellow.

I can understand that. Strawberry Swing is a very different sounding song and is not for everyone.

 

I am a big fan as well and I have heard each album as well. This would be my ranking:

 

1. Viva la Vida or Death and all his Friends.

2. Parachutes

3. Mylo Xyloto

4. A Rush of Blood to the Head

5. X & Y

 

I recommend listening to Parachutes. It has really good songs such as Spies, Shiver, Yellow, We Never Change, and others. But you may not like it as it is opposite of Mylo Xyloto and the songs are slow, but mellow.

 

I absolutely love Coldplay.

I actually have all the CD's in the car, and once thing I have always like is I can listen to their music in any mood.

My favorite though has to be Shiver.

 

 

It was the song that introduced me to them after all.

Since the way the song is, it really lends itself well to being acoustic.

Not to many songs can go back and forth like that.

Thats a bit odd when you think about it but completely understandable.

As for Radiohead I think we can all agree this is one absolute gem of a song.
