Great movie! But I don't feel like the character that Winona played really has borderline personality disorder.. Maybe when I read the book I will think differently about it.. but idk. I really feel like reading the book now.

Alright the last three films I saw are:

 

• Oblivion

In my opinion, this movie was rather crappy. The story was "meh", the characters were "meh", the soundtrack was "meh".. Even the special effects were "meh".

Honestly, I never really got drawn in to the story. Sure there were some cool scenes but the whole thing were just boring. Not necessarily bad, just very boring.

It felt like I was watching a "I, Robot meets 2001: A Space Odyssey meets Wall:E" but an even worse remake that takes place in the middle of nowhere.

• The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies

I saw it on the premiere. I really enjoyed the last hobbit film. It brough back the dark feeling the lotr movies has. It gives the film another tone. Again, overall I

really enjoyed the film but there were a couple of things I didn't like such as the use of so much CGI, it made the war look far less cool than the ones in lotr,

it felt like you were watching a video from a game. There were some other things I'm not a very big fan of such as some ridiculous fighting-scenes.

• Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Now this is a film I really enjoyed! Being a person who have seen all previous Planet of the Apes movies, I certainly had something I could compare the film I

was about to watch to. I did not enjoy the previous film "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" very much to be honest. Sure it's supposed to tell the story before this

film but for some reason I just didn't get hooked. This film on the other hand had be hooked within minutes! It looks beautiful and it feels just... right. Haha

The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies as of 3 hours ago. Absolutely phenomenal in my eyes but I don't think I could do it justice without spoiling the plot so for the sake of those who haven't read the book and/or seen the film all I can say is I found it extremely enjoyable.

Guardians of the Galaxy- man it's great, wasn't a big fan of James Gunn after seeing Super, so I had some reserved expectations, but he managed to make something amazing here. It's the Marvel universe's Star Wars, possibly better than that even(imo). Love love love it. So glad for its success.

Exodus : Gods and Kings - It had some great action set pieces and set design, but the pacing is off. Still, it's no where near as bad as other faith based films. 6/10.

Last movies I watched were Rudoplh the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and Frosty Returns on CBS for Rudolph's 50th anniversary. That's impressive that it's been such a beloved classic for that long. Frosty Returns wasn't all that impressive, though, it was just lacking of the charm of the original and just was very by-the-book and slightly, only slightly, annoying/boring.

Battle of the Pacific. Set in 1945 when the japanese were near defeat and this is on Saipan Island following the little japanese force and an American who can translate japanese and knows the tradition, I won't spoil anything more. Btw Saipan Island is where a lot of marines were killed and basically the Americans were kinds getting their asses kicked for a bit by this small force

A couple days ago, JingleWolf and I finished watching the Batman Begins movie. I thought it was okay... it was really confusing since there are so many characters at once, and it was hard for me to keep track of all the new characters that kept being introduced.

 

We'll probably still watch the next Batman movie though.

I watched The Shawshank Redemption the other day. Of course I have seen it many times before, but when it is shown on TV it is so hard to not stay on the channel and watch it. The film is a masterpiece to me, just like the IMDb top 250 list suggests. However, I do not think it is the best film of all time but I don't mind it being no.1 on the list.

 

If I could change something in the film, I would actually ADD something. I think it needs to be a little longer in order to make room for more scenes outside the prison. To me, that's one of the most interesting parts of the film. I want to know more about what happened afterwards! but I guess you can't have everything.
