I'll nominate "Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane" by (guess who!) Thelonious Monk. Monk's dissonant piano-playing is an amazing thing to hear, and of course, Coltrane adds a great flurry of notes whenever he solos. Classic stuff!

Next nomination for me will be "'Out to Lunch!'" by late bass clarinetist, flutist and saxophonist Eric Dolphy. He died much too soon.

Not sure what to nominate...

Has Rust In Peace been said yet? If not, then I will say that album. Definitely a great thrash metal album for sure.

Actually, the only thing thrash that's been nominated so far is Metallica -.- It's good that you nominated something thrash that isn't Metallica.

And I still don't know what to nominate...

I'll nominate a thrash album NOT from the Big Four :o Put Vektor's "Black Future" on the list. Their vocalist has some of the craziest highs I've ever heard; even higher than the Angel of Death wail.

Let's put U2 Joshua Tree on there. Great album. The perfect record to put on when you're travelling in the midwest. Look 100 characters.

Okay, time for Grunge now

My next nomination will be "Badmotorfinger" by Soundgarden, I feels like it's kinda underrated, great album

Dude, The Joshua Tree is already on there...

Anyways, I'm going to nominate Burzum's self titled album. Because I haven't nominated something in a while.

Whille we are on the subject of Megadeth... and the word peace, I'll nominate "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying" which is my third favorite metal album (after Ride the Lightning and Powerslave)

Man, I'm going to nominate Show No Mercy by Slayer. It's my favorite Slayer album, one of my favorite albums ever and sadly, Jeff Hanneman died today...

Show No Mercy...good choice. Severely underrated album, IMO. Personally I enjoy the 'evil' side of Slayer a la Hell Awaits and Reign in Blood a little more, but still, SNM to this day stands as a testament to all the qualities that defined '80s thrash and made it so kickass in the first place.

And the news about Hanneman...that made me a sad panda.

sad.png  Tis' a sad day for not only Slayer fans but the whole heavy metal community. Anyway, I'm gonna nominate "South of Heaven." Another one of their overlooked albums, maybe not as "Show No Mercy"

Bah, wish I could nominate some lesser known Slayer albums, though the only Slayer album I've listened to is Reign In Blood, to actually say it, that one's the only Thrash Metal album that I own in my collection. Oh why the hell not, if it's not been nominated yet then I'll do it, for the hell of it.

I'm going to nominate Hell Awaits by Slayer. For Jeff, RIP. Now all we need is Seasons in the Abyss and we'll have all of Slayer's golden age albums on the list.

Morbid Angel: Altars of Madness.

Incredible death metal album from one of the greats. I'm not a real excitable guy but something about that one gets me headbanging like a maniac.

Alright, I will nominate Seasons in the Abyss. Now all of Slayer's golden age albums are on this list. Now if someone can nominate "Kill Em All" and the "Black Album," we'll have all of Metallica's classic albums.

Alright then my final nomination, at least final for the night will be Oceanic by ISIS, I'm quite surprised that I haven't nominated this amazing album earlier. Definitely one of the best albums Post-Metal/Sludge Metal has to offer.

They Might Be Giants' John Henry.

20 songs, 57 minutes, and not a single skippable or uninteresting track.  Catchy rock tunes ("Snail Shell"), thought-provoking stories ("Unrelated Thing"), and innovative song structures ("Spy") are all abundant throughout, and the final song ("The End of the Tour") is one of the best album-closers I've ever heard.

That's really all there is to say on the matter.

Let's get Portishead  - Dummy up there. Just amazing mix of chill and dark trip hop that's atmospheric and sexy as just about any music can be..

I think I'll toss up a personal favorite, Persecution Mania by Sodom. Unrelenting thrash, from start to finish. One of their most well-executed albums IMO, at least as far as their classic ones are concerned.

Alright, my next nomination will be "Dirt" by Alice in Chains. A classic Grunge album that must be on the list

Expect more Grunge albums to come...

I nominated When the Kite String Pops by Acid Bath, I think this list needs some more sludge metal and grunge. Although, each of the big 4 of grunge do at least have one album.
