/mlp/, Like or Hate?

I don't go there often, but I'll check it out every once in a while. It can be vulgar at times, but it's nothing I can't handle. I will often stumble upon some very interesting posts there, and that alone makes the site worth checking out despite all the crudeness.

You're doing it wrong if you're going to 4chan to be part of a community.  It's really the anti-community in a lot of ways.  Building an identity for yourself is highly frowned upon unless you're a content creator.  It's built on the idea of judging posts entirely by what they say, not by who says them, and to focus on topics rather than people.  It's a lot of fun when you use it for what it is

Well I'm not a 4chan expert. (far from it xD) so I have no reason to doubt what your saying is true.

 

Although honestly I'd just rather be apart of a place with a good community such as here, its just my preference really. 

 

Besides I don't really feel like trying to work another site into my routine checkup .

I never went there, but Ive heard it isn't that great. Ive heard that it's:

1. quite crowded

2. full of naughty stuff

3. (it has a) lack of actual good discussion.

4chan is overall a scary place, I've lurked there on several occasions and /mlp/ particularly can't be called a fan forum. It's sick, it's wrong and the things discussed are even more shocking than discussing R34. Most importantly, the /mlp/ posters are actually a really good chunk of the actual brony fandom.

Now that I have spent more time on /mlp/ I can give my full opinion on it. /mlp/ has its good and bad. I personally now love/hate the place. There is a lot of shitty threads but there is usually a diamond in all the shit. The new BLOC threads are pretty cool since it's a small unity. What I mostly enjoy from there is that they say what other bronies won't say. I guess that's why Lauren went there.

I like it and I think its a great place. Its not that bad. You don't really see porn as much because they banned a few things (I.e.: *Ahem* "Butt Worship" if you know what I mean). You do find it every now and then, but not like as if it is every single or so. I also find something funny on there usually. I haven't been on much though.

I just find it hard to communicate on. It's a giant clusterfuck of threads, most of which disappear after 30 seconds. I don't really care about the material, but I prefer this site 10,000 times more.

 

Really the only boards I go on are /x/ and /int/.

A brony I talk to on Tumblr refereed to it as being full of elitests that don't care about the fandom unless it's to say their better than the rest of it and I'd be inclined to agree from what I've seen come out of there.

Sure those people had some pretty rough life experiences. Any destructive behaviour is likely to be originated from self-restrictive patterns. You're neglecting yourself by ignoring your own desires. It becomes harmful. It becomes an obsession.

 

So, even beautiful forms of expression, such as making Love, end up turning into harmful sex. It's taken as a way out of their own frustration and sexual silence. It's not a form a appreciation anymore, but aggression instead. It involves submission, fear and selfishness. Destroying their own sexuality.
It shows when the feminine side is treated as an object. When there's suffering, violence and disproportion involved. When there's lack of harmony, balance and love between both sides.

 

This obsessive mindset is born from self-restrictive behaviours, either by misleading education, religious indoctrination, family misdeeds, spiritual ignorance, child abuse, etc. Fear.

 

It isn't always like this. There's art related with sexuality, which is truly beautiful. Sexuality has been severly damaged on Earth, by forces you woudn't know anything about, behind organizations looking for control, such as the vatican, and some others.

Eh, I don't mind it. I used to frequent there, but I stopped, because people were getting worse. I still lurk there from time to time, and post the occasional troll thread, and I view some amusing threads for a laugh, mainly watching people insult each other with words like "newfag" and use buzzwords like

 

and post dub "gets". It's not a terribly disgusting place, it's just full of idiots and fans who can't let go of the past.

My opinion on 4chan is that you can find some amazing content if you aren't squeamish, hop on at the right time, and are willing to sift through a mountain of garbage to get to it. And that goes double for /mlp/, which isn't exactly one of the best boards I've visited . Still though, it's a good place to find and share art, and you can usually come across something you haven't seen before. Their threads for the comics have been enjoyable enough too, and their first Princess Applejack thread was some of the most fun I've had in the brony fandom.

 

It's not for everybody, but plenty of people could probably find some niche to enjoy. So long as you don't mind learning about a new fetish every time you refresh the catalog . Oh bother.

That place is just.... ugg. I don't mind the porn... I really don't. but what I can't stand about that place is just how lost I get... its like sec things are going fine then next thing I know I'm in some other part of the website.... like the bad part of it... like you say the wrong thing you get stabbed.... So I just don't much care for it..
