Now I know most bronies parents look down upon their childs lifestyle in the mlp fandom. But my mother is one of the few that has grown to like the show and it's apparel. And the way I found out was I came home from work and she had on the Pinkie Pie come at me brony shirt. I should have seen the signs. The show, the stuff she posts on my fb page, my birthday box with nothing but brony stuff in it, the shirt and it was all clear the day she asked me to make her an OC pony.

I didn't know how to feel. But alli can say is...... I HAVE THE COOLEST MOM IN THE FRICKEN UNIVERSE! !!!!

Post your story about a friend or family member that became a brony/pegasister because of your love and influence for the fandom.

Post my story, eh? I was watching the show at like, 2 am and my little sister came down and couldn't stop laughing. The following day I showed her an episode and after I left the room Zim recall her being all like "oh my god this is awesome rhfueidh"

This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner.

This is an automatically generated message, by the way.

My dad is part-brony, I'd say. He has watched about a quarter of the episodes, but he doesn't have any merchandise of pony. He liked it. He is rather old, but he thins is whimsy, very cute, and easy to like. :) Good to know that your mom is a brony/pegasister, my mom doesn't give a single buck about my interest in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

My parents are both in their 80s-it'd probably be weird if they decided to become Bronies.

You guys are very fortunate to have parents on board that will now take you to events and stuff. Good deal.

>implying that my parents are actually bronies at all and that they haven't used the show to ridicule me in the past and is still used as an insult by them today

what do you mean my old signature was rubbish?

Wow. That sucks.

I can't imagine doing that-I have 2 daughters-the one, who's 22 years old btw, still ikes to come home from college and watch ponies, Little Mermaid, all the stuff she loved as a kid she still loves. I watch it with her, so does my wife. What the hell do people gain by beating their kids up over something as innocent as liking a cartoon?

Beats the hell out of me. Sorry for your trouble man.

i only said insult not kick/punch me over it

that would be insane and i think i would be far away from them if they battered me over a show

O.k, I wasn't implying that your parents literally beat you up for liking the show-only that they use it as something to ridicule you with.

I was trying to be empathetic. I'm going to stop now.

Lucky

dudes, why are you all lucky with your parents

my parents rejected the idea from the very beginning and still reject it (my mother more than my father)

I had a friend whos fam thought he was gay cause he had a RD CM on his computer background. They still pester him a bit but he carez not anymore. So I hate to say it this way but f**k what your mom and dad say. You like the show and the fandom, simple as that. If they cant deal with it oh well then. As brony code says "love and tolerate thy haters". Thats all you can do.

Now you know if they just up and became bronies and pegasisters it would be funny. Could you imagine an 80 year old couple in brony hoodies with granny smith and big mac on them? Think on that, then look at your parents and imagine that stuff on them, then come and tell me you didn't laugh your flank off.

Also I work at cheerleading gym now (im a cheerleader too) and I bring something different every Friday. The girls all love my pony swag. Even the 11 and up girls cant hide how much they love my stuff.

None of my family members are into the show but they all know I am and none of them give me any crap about it.  I haven't lived with them for over 15 years though.  I'm moving back that way in a few months and maybe things will change when I am actually there.
