Hmm... A hard decision. Just kidding! Here they are, in order.

  • Electro

  • Hard Rock

  • Dubstep

  • Alternative Rock
My musical heart belongs to electro but hard rock makes a valiant effort with dubstep and alternative rock close behind. Edited by Like A Boss

I'm all about Classic Rock. I'm about to turn 22, and all my friends are all about the Dub Step. I personally can't stand it, but I understand that, "to each their own", or something like that. In fact, I do believe I'll listen to some Queen right now.;)

Though I like to listen to many different genres my favorite genres are Alternative Rock, DnB, Hardcore and Liquid Dubstep. I don't know why they are seeing as they're very different from one another.

I quite dislike Daft Punk though, they are the second most overrated artists imo, after Tiesto.

You gotta admit though, Daft Punk was/is very influential.

Lemme list these off in alphabetical order.

Alternative hip hop

Alternative metal (I call it that because nu-metal sounds degrading)

Alternative rock

Avant-garde (specifically jazz and metal)

Deathcore (but not the br00tal stuff; things like The Red Chord or The Contortionist)

Djent

Drone doom metal

Instrumental hip hop

Jazz fusion

Mathcore

Metalcore (again, no br00tality)

Post-hardcore (see the above)

Post-rock / metal

Progressive metal (could very well be my FAVORITE favorite)

Screamo (old school stuff)

Sludge / stoner metal

Just to name a few.

I am all about classic rock and any music from the late 60's up through the early 90's. So much soul and passion put into those songs, almost everyone is still known today. I have a humongous soft spot for the power ballads of the 80's, like Can't Fight This Feeling by REO Speedwagon or Don't Know What You Got ('Till It's Gone) by Cinderella.

I Love listening to Rock music but not the new generation of Rock...the classic old type. But i still like the new one. (The Beatles, Red hot chili peppers, Guns' n'Roses, Kiss...e.t.c.)

I also listen to K-Pop (Big Bang, Super Junior)

I have no idea how to describe my personal favorite music genre. I guess it could be called polka? It has that sort of sound, anyway. But it's more like...I don't know how to describe it, so I'm just going to show an example. In this case, the song Dark Arts by Man Man.

I love EDM (especially pony music), harp music, J-Pop, R-Pop, and K-Pop. I usually just listen to the pony songs on my ipod now. I'm the person who listens to music while with friends.

Defently emo-pop. I like Panic! At the Disco, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, other stuff like that. The lyrics are awesome, the beats are catchy and makes you want to get up and dance, plus the song titles are always funny. Panora.com always gives me new options in the emo-pop genre, so it never gets old!

it really depends what mood I'm in to be honest. When I'm in a party mood I listen to dubstep and party music. When I want to relax I listen to a piano cover of a classical song I know of.

So like I usually listen to party music, orchestra, and classical.

Classic Rock mostly late 60s, 70s, and 80s but I will try to listen to pop but I can't get into it. I think music of today isn't that good but hey that is just me.post-7528-0-07497300-1350265709_thumb.jpg

My favorite music genres are:

Classic rock (The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin)

Alternative/grunge (Violent Femmes, Wilco, Pearl Jam, Nirvana)

Swing (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, The Brian Setzer Orchestra)

Ska (Reel Big Fish)

Country (Johnny Cash, Jon Itkin, Charlie Daniels, Aurelio Voltaire, Uncle Tupelo)

And a lot of other random music. Most of my favorite bands are kind of obscure though.

I like death metal, black metal, thrash metal, regular heavy metal...really any kind of metal except the kinds that aren't metal but use the word anyway (power metal, metalcore, nu-metal). Have I said the word metal enough times? :)

Really I like a little bit of everything except rap and R&B, that stuff just doesn't reach me.

I really like every genre aside from death metal. If I wer to chose my favorite among the sea. I think I would have to go with dubstep. Now before the stereo of broken faxing machines drown me. I will say I love it for the select artist with good groove and such. 12th Planet, DotEXE, Knife Party, KOAN sound. Gotta find the gems. My very hard contender is

glitch hop. groove is UNMATCHED. May overtake soon enough.

Alternative

Rock

Some acoustic

Video game music

Electronic

Some orchestra

Classic rock

Some rap

Jazz

Swing

A FEW of pop

and that's just about it.

The reason why I said " A FEW" in caps is because I tend to dislike and sometimes hate pop music. Especially Jusin Bieber and One Direction.

I can listen to and appreciate pretty much any genre, but my favorites are:

A cappella: On the Rocks (from the University of Oregon) and Outspoken (from Oregon State University and, might I add, a group my cousin sings in.)

Jazz: Charles Mingus, Charlie Parker, Sammy Davis Jr., The New Mastersounds, and The Seatbelts. By FAR The Seatbelts.

Classic rock: various artists; mainly stuff I listened to growing up on a farm.

Symphonic: Holst's 2nd Suite is a particular favorite of mine. :P

It changes, right now I'm going through an orchestra phase- mostly video game and movie soundtracks I listen to. I also listen to pop and rock at times. I've been listening to Jesse McCartney lately, not liking his new style but I love his 'innocence' when he started his music career.

I like classic rock, especially 70's. I listen to a variety of music, but classic rock is my favorite.

As I've asked before, how do you use electronics if everything goes to static when you get near it? I mean, if people go static when you get near them I'd think that electronics wouldn't work at all.

As a very dedicated musician myself, I like a lot of genres. Often when I'm driving to school I listen to techno brony music. Then when I go to orchestra class I slip into my more classical mood. Then sometimes when I'm at school I start practicing my drum patterns on my desk, and that puts me in a metal or rock mood. It really depends on what song I have stuck in my head, because I usually drum to whatever songs I have stuck in my head usually those songs are metal or heavy rock.

My favorite music genre is either heavy rock/light metal, dubstep, or country. I grew up on country and classic rock, and I discovered my love for dubstep when I started playing on this Minecraft server that I am now a server op on. I also love pony music. Almost all of my dubstep is pony dubstep.

I should have put this down earlier, but these are my favorite artists:

Noisestorm, AC/DC, A Day To Remember, Coldplay, Aerosmith, Linkin Park, ParagonX9, Green Day, The story so far, The Beatles, Nirvana, and, well that's enough for now.

Simple. I have very good hearing. Whenever I want to listen to some music, I just stalk someone who is listening to music and hear it from a couple of miles away. Then when he finishes, I get closer and start my hunt. I especially like 70's rock and lately EDM. There is a reason many people can't remember what happened after a concert. (I'll give you a hint. It wasn't drugs.)
