Discord's reformation was a bad move

Agreed, putting such an OP character on the good side is usually a bad idea, it just creates a lot of plot related complications, I think they did a pretty good job on balancing it but I really would have preferred if he stayed in stone. They had to come with ideas why he did not help the main 6, which made be viewed as not worth of reformation for many fans. They nerfed him at times and only season 9 really handled him well, and even then they needed to get many fans angry to achieve that, a character like him creates a lose-lose situation(I really hope they avoid it in G5).

I liked the S9 finale twist, I thought it was really well done. (not sure if its actually unpopular)

Also, it annoys me a bit that many spells that are actually useful were used only once in the show just for the plot, or how sometimes characters forget they can teleport(mostly twilight).

Well yeah, a lot of times that is how friendship in real life works. I just think that the mane six should be the exception to this since they are the embodiments of true friendship.

The appledash thing was only implied and honestly the implications were not that strong you can easily ignore it. Also, I doubt they care for each other the exact same way, and there is nothing wrong with that(but of course everything is possible, its a show after all).

Yeah, I usually try to ignore it. I am glad that it was just implied and not stated, because then it would be harder to ignore. In my head-canon, Rainbow Dash ended up with Sorin XD.

Princess Celestia barely had a character which made it difficult for me to connect with her like I did with Princess Luna.

Total opposite for me, writers were riding Luna so hard due to her massive popularity that it was just turning me off especially when they were actively neglecting Celestia out of bias(seriously there was even an episode where Twilight needed help from the other princesses and Celestia was straight up left out). I still can't believe it took them seven seasons to finally give her some spotlight

I don't care about Ahuizotl/ Garble redemptions. :-P

I'd have been fine with Ahuizotl being redeemed if it actually was a redemption and not a mind-numbingly stupid retcon. His previous behavior severely undermines the "Daring Do is a thief" thing they were going for. The artifacts she was after weren't just ancient shiny things, but powerful and potentially dangerous magical devices - as long as Ahuizotl was behaving like a garden-variety cartoon villain, Daring Do was fully justified in getting them as far away from him as possible.

Which is a shame, because otherwise what they were going for (bringing light to the issue of historical artifacts being snatched from the cultures to which they rightfully belong and shown off in museums on the other side of the planet) would have been perfectly respectable.

I think the dragons are weird, just the way they are dealt with in the show

Yes! Instead of being epic viscous monsters of the sky, they were pretty much just immature brats who were full of themselves. In season one, they were much more interesting. Ever since "Dragon Quest," they've been ruined for me. Plus, those designs are just weird.

What I don't I didn't like is how the show implied it towards the end with Appledash.

I think the Equestria girls franchise is terrible.

I don't like Alicorns

At least is implied subtly enough that you can take is as just a very close friendship. At least I thought it was that. I suppose the writers also got behind into the shipping and fandom ideas themselves as fans because there's some things that were pushed way beyond reason but it was better than a movie that you were expecting to be to good for years and it was total disappointment.

Yep

And yep. The concept was good at first when it was something unique and special. But by it's own nature it was bound to end in everything and everyone becoming an alicorn and worst of all is that they didn't utilize them in a creative way like Twilight. All of them were just totally incapable.

I keep seeing fans holding up Scootaloo as a role model for people with disabilities, and I just have to say: Scootaloo is a textbook case of how NOT to do the "disabled representation" thing.

"Flight to the Finish", in and of itself, did a respectable job with its message. The problem is what came after that. First it's implied that she's simply a late bloomer flight-wise. Then for several seasons we see signs of her yearning to fly, but making no visible progress towards flying. Then we see her so desperate for at least some of what her condition has denied her that she joins a stunt team with a devil-may-care attitude towards safety. Then right at the end, we see her adult body with child-size wings (technically up for interpretation on account of Bulk Biceps, but the creators' intent was pretty obvious). Here's where things really go wrong:

At no point do we see anyone making any attempt to help her learn to fly (one would assume Rainbow Dash would handle that, but there's never even a brief mention of her actually doing so).

Nor do we see any evidence that she's been to a doctor (one would expect Equestria to have specialists in that area) to try and sort out why she's been having trouble flying.

Nor do we see anyone properly helping her to cope with the possibility that she may never fly.

Nor do we see anyone introduce her to technology (such as Apple Bloom's glider from "Call of the Cutie") which might let her compensate for whatever unspecified condition is keeping her from flying. Twilight's book smarts extend well beyond magic - by all logic, she should have been able to find Scootaloo a solution there.

For a series which normally has much more in-depth discussion of characters' feelings than you typically see in a Y-rated cartoon, it feels like we never got more than a superficial look at what Scootaloo was going through. Way too much was left to the realm of speculation and headcanon. What we actually got to see paints a picture of a child whose dreams are threatened by a possible medical issue, but no one around her bothering to step up and get her the help she needs - in essence, more fuel for the Scootabuse dumpster fire.

People hold the mane six too closely to the Elements of Harmony, and those characters are better for not embodying their element all the time.

Twilight Sparkle becoming a princess was never a good idea.

I like a lot of CMC episodes but would never list them among my favourite characters in the show. They should have been more distinct from each other.

I find it kinda boring how much pony culture and history seems to just copy human culture and history. The non-pony species are so much more interesting, especially later in the show when they actually started to be taken seriously. Ponies are still the cutest though.

-Luna is severely overrated

-I love twilight as a princess

-I love CMC episodes

-I think it's cool the CMC got their cutie marks

-Rarity is severely overrated and is the worst mane six member (and one of the worst characters)

-Applejack is underrated

-The actiony two-parters are really good

-Fluttershy's character is really inconsistent (As a Fluttershy fan I don't pin this on her)

I want my name to be QuerkyThePegasus but the s was awkwardly hanging below the rest of my name.

Who made that lovely banner? I think his name was something like "QurkyThePegasus".

That actually appears to have been a rather popular opinion.

Though I do agree that it was nice to let the Mane Six be vulnerable to temptation in spite of their elements.

That's been a problem with a number of characters, as I understand. I suppose it's more or less inevitable when you have one writer for every three or four episodes.

I don't like Bats! episode.

- One reason being the song. The bit where the remainder of Mane 6 was circling around Fluttershy rubbed me the very wrong way. It felt like Mane 6 is some kind of cult and Fluttershy became a heretic that needed re-education.

- Not only Mane 5 stubbornly refused to go with Fluttershy's solution, but they also forced hr into their false one, which nearly costed them Fluttershy herself. One of them cases when they learn lesson the hard way big time!

Season 1 was the worst season

Thorax, Ocellus, and Ember are the best characters

I think rainbow dash is retarded

The MLP movie didnt make any sense

I only like two ships, thorax and ember, and pharynx and tempest. Other than those two ships most of them stink.
