MLP in Japan

So, it seems like MLP wasn't financially successful in Japan and it appears Bushiroad is giving up on selling MLP merchandise, this may mean that Season 3 will never get dubbed into Japanese. However, they may still sell things directed at Japanese Bronies however, as those people buy MLP things, so I wouldn't be surprised if DVD box sets and translated IDW comic books, and ect are made. But that's just speculation on my part. I'm wondering if this means we won't see anymore Pony manga?

Anyways, recently there was an MLP cafe event in Japan. Man, it would be so cool to go to something like this, didn't 'Big apple Ponycon' have a pony maid cafe?

Eh... thing is, watching the Japanese dub can actually give me more practice with my Japanese :P

You see, Japanese has a polite type, and a casual type. They are very different. I know polite. But, in the show, they would speak casual. So, it helps in that regard.

Plus, I can watch something I like, and help my poor pronunciation :P

I love the Japanese culture. So much I even ate shishimo a few times. shishimo = pregnant fish in which it's entire body including head and tail are edible

I particularly favor This Day Aria in Japanese.

I like anime dubs and everything, and I think MLP should be really popular now. Let's face it, they'll buy most anything..

What do you think of me?:

There are some Japanese Fursuiters that have found on Derpibooru, and those are some pretty good costumes.

Those Rainbow Dash Cosplayers are pretty good too.

Well that will be a shame if it isn't popular enough to remian a regular dubbed series. then again I'm sure they can continue watching S3+4 online in english w/o too much trouble. Maybe the delay in importing it didn't help.

I have made brony music since 2011. I like all kinds of music and genres. I'm sure you'll like some of it..

Here's My YouTube..I have several albums on Bandcamp and Pony.FM.

Seems like a shame for Japan that so far only the first 2 seasons made it over. Maybe My Little Pony wasn't very successful in Japan probably because it doesn't appeal to most japanese tastes. Anime is a lot more popular over there and most western shows don't catch on in Japan as other countries do. Most anime is niche in America and most people have to watch online. From what I know Japan is very loyal to the local brands such as Sanrio, Pokémon, and Youkai Watch which actually beat Pokémon in sales last year. Speaking of Pokémon I've seen a few comments on Equestria Daily blaming the delay all on Pikachu which isn't a good argument since Jibanyan was probably the most popular japanese character of 2014.

Anyway maybe they can put the dubs online or something or make them direct to dvd. I used to think Japan always gets all the good stuff (Mother 3 for example). But it seems like not getting all the good stuff is a problem in any country and sometimes America gets luckier and sometimes Japan gets luckier.

Did Equestria Girls aired in Japan?

No, just the first two seasons. And I don't know what they were expecting, airing the show in such a terrible timeslot. When the Watamote manga referenced MLP (and its really cool that happened) even that mentions what a terrible timeslot it had. I wonder if they will reference MLP in the Watamote Anime if they have a 2nd season? That show references other animes a lot.
