Let's see... In a topic that I didn't make, I usually scan the replies. If something shows up that I agree with, or makes me laugh, or affects me in some other way, I'll usually brohoof it, though sometimes I forget to. On topics that I post, I'll try and brohoof everyone's answer, to let them know that I read it, and enjoyed reading their answer. Unless I really disagreed with their opinion, which doesn't happen very often.

I tend to brohoof posts when I think "that was a well-thought out point/I found your arguments good", since I usually hang around Show Discussion. 

 

For game threads, I often brohoof responses to my post as a way of saying "thanks for putting in the effort to create an X themed about me, it was pretty accurate/funny". 

 

For my PMV uploads, I basically brohoof all responses as a matter of course. They bothered to watch my video and comment; the least I can do is express my thanks.

 

And being hilarious always gets a brohoof out of me. I appreciate comedy.

As for how often. It varies. Some days I give out lots and some days none.
