Well my thought on subject, is it is silly trend. Among fandoms too do re-imagining of there favorite cartoon characters. Resulting in the sex change trend.

 

However either if do approve of this our not... Well would not stand in way of people imagining as long is done in good taste. And also need determent, whats is just meant, as silly joke in general.

 

However some creative things come out of this trend. And I do approve of that.

 

So my finally answer would be, yes, i would be okey with it.

Well I'm fine with and I don't really see why I wouldn't be. All it really is is artwork (and a few other medias.) It gives artists more ideas of what to draw and to give the viewer different perspectives to think about the character drawn.

 

How can you not like it when it causes awesome work like this to be made?

I've heard about this one popular fanfic that involves the mane 6 meeting their rule 63 versions from an alternate universe. I believe it was called "On a Cross and Arrow."

 

It sounds like a pretty good fanfic from hearing other people's reviews. Maybe I'll check it out soon.

 

But anyways, the idea of them being the opposite of their own gender is quite odd but somewhat interesting to me. 

 

And it's odd simply because I'm not used to seeing them rendered as such. The same goes for any fictional character really. I would simply be a little weirded out by the idea at first, because it's like...."Wow. You're supposed to be a guy but you're a girl?" 

 

And vice versa. So yeah, the idea of switching the genders of a character seems a little weird and maybe with a slight creep factor, especially if you consider the shippings of them with the regular mane 6(With "On a Cross and Arrow" being the best example).

 

But as far as the character design goes, I think they look alright as guys. 

 

Bubbleberry, Rainbow Blitz and Applejack are the best looking stallions in my opinion. 

 

And not to sound weird but Shining Armor looks really cute as a mare.

Simply put, changing the sex of a pony doesn't change who they are at all...being a female isn't what Fluttershy "Fluttershy". Being kind,caring and quiet is what makes her Fluttershy.

It is true though that the two rules go hand in hand quite often. In most fandoms, people use R63 as an excuse for new porn ideas for characters now that there are different genders to and pairing ideas to screw around with. 'Sexualized R63' is a term I use for it.

 

However, R63 is remarkably well-kept in this fanbase for the most part, as I go into detail in this related thread that I'm sure I've linked in here before. Especially the fanon-accepted Colt Mane Six and other variations, (Berry, Blitz, Dusk, Butterscotch, etc.). Everything from art to fanfictions gives them an utterly serious approach and makes their fanon universe all the fun that the real show brings.

 

Not to say there aren't pointless erotic fics and such all over the place for them as well, but that comes with any fandom package as a whole, really

I know what your thinking that doesn't look like a link.  your right it's not.  I've come across this one at a seedy place.  no it's not rule 34.  (it might be there?)

but it in itself is in fact not porno.  The only character gender swapped is Twilight sparkle (aka Dusk shine) and the story takes place in the first episode of MLP FIM. 
And?  It's pretty damn funny.

Long story short I highly reccomand giving it a peak.  It's very manga ie with pinkie pie doing the cut away scenes (God I love pinkie 4th walling).

 

I believe it's on deviant art, but it's kind of a mess and the other sights i found it at

besides the sight in question are viral ridden lol.

 

I found it funny that Dusk shine seems to be to cool for flirting with any of them cept flutter shy where he's like "I'm not a stalker honest!"

 

Yes there is a audio only version of this online on u tube but there is a comic of it as well.  It's worth the hunt.

The huge issue I tend to see with this is that the male ponies don't look near as good/adorable as the female ponies. (even the larger? female ponies don't look as good as the lil' fellas).

 

I mean, I don't know about ya'll folks but I'm pretty sure I watch this show and take part in the fandom because the fuckin' characters are freakin' adorable, right? I mean seriously. Why else would I have a Rainbow Dash keychain other than the fact she's fucking adorable and to have random people ask what the fuck I have it for. Of course I enjoy indirect attention, it's what us self certified masters of everything strive on, next to knowing everything that is.

But obviously the males turning into females would be better than the females turning into males, but the problem lies where Rainbow Dash is turned into a male. There's no denying the females have the more adorbs than the males.

 

The male mane6 are more defined by there personality.

 

Rainbow Blitz is more of a douche and more prideful in his own skill and his abilities as that's what Dash would be like in a bigger body with testoterone flowing though it.

 

Applejack is... well Applejack. Only probably MORE stubborn (if that's even possible)

 

Elusive is just as dainty as Rarity, tho he's more direct in his approach to things.

 

Butterscotch is even more timid than Fluttershy as he's more conscious about is own flaws.

 

Bubble Berry doesn't seem to yo-yo between emotions as much as Pinkie does, not sure which plays better Polka.

 

Dusk Shine doesn't seem to use lists as much as Twilight and seems more willing to deviate from a set plan. He also is more willing to fight, even if he hasn't exhausted every other option, where as Twi would consider it a last resort.
