So I'm not sure how this will work but i figured that I have seen many talented Bronies and people that write short stories and poems. Now like any person beginning or even experts we all love helpful criticism so i figured this thread is for so called writers and poets to share there stuff and maybe get some helpful advice to help themselves grow better. Now for me i love writing though i really can never get the courage to post my stuff.

 

Only thing is i want this to be peaceful as possible when you give advice actually be specific instead of just saying this sucks or i hate the topic. Everybody try you best to be civil here and try to take criticism gently instead of getting upset this group is meant to help improve your writing skills instead of actually just people bashing you. I really look forward to seeing if this thread can take off if you have any questions just PM me 

 

Forgot to add this thread can be for pony or non-pony poems or stories so go wild my flying monkeys heheheh

I think you should try writing your stories anyway, then when there is some criticism for your story you can be open to make your story as good as you possibly can. Poets and Writers really do deserve a big reputation too.

I am in heavy need of criticism myself. I know some of the things I need to work on like pacing and description but I can't find everything myself either! Plus having some peers would be a good thing for all of us.

I put my writing there. I just started this account but I have written before on another one but I'm not as willing to share that around. I wanted a clean break with my new stuff (and without my gigantic faves gallery which is less-than-professional)

If you look closely at the Creative Resource section, you will find that we already have this kind of group. It's pinned there, so it won't be hard to find it.

Ah i see it now guess i should have looked first, well i'm still see what happens with this. Personally i like a small-medium group of people that way people can get more personal attention instead of just people skimming through stuff

Not just is there a writing critique type of thread, but there is also a poetry club thread for exclusively poets. Unfortunately, I think generally people tend to drop their own work in threads like this and not bother looking at anyone else's.

Well that is exactly what i don't want to happen but i can see how that can happen. this was just more for people to share advice and critique one another's work, maybe help offer an idea if it's a story to help them out of a hole.

Look at the MLPForums Writing Centre. I always pay attention to every posts. It's kinda dead because people don't seem to write like they used to. It would be very good if people started writing again. That thread used to be very crowd of people asking their fanfics to be reviewed, or simply just asking questions about writing.

 

That thread is open for anything.
