movies/tv Underrated TV Shows

The reason as to why I called it mediocre is that, despite it still being pretty good after the decline in quality, in the latest season they stopped using whatever digital ink program they were using and switched to Flash

In fact, there's a petition going on trying to get it to change the animation

and looks like they've cheaped out and started using less frames of animation as well, I don't remember it being quite that stiff looking when I was kid.

I'm going to though Highlander in. It's a damn good TV Show, so I'm kind said it's fallen somewhat into obscurity and no to many people remember anything but the movie now a days. I wouldn't even know about it if not for stumbling upon the first three seasons on VHS in Goodwill.

Ninjago - Lego merchandise show? Well, after the 4 episode premiere which is meh, the first season is... good! There were legitimate feels there! Never got around to finishing the second season though because the quality went downhill fast.

Grojband - Really funny show with good songs. Only 13 episodes so far but all of them are quality.

Go On had one season and was on NBC. I loved the show and I believe it needed more seasons.attachicon.gifalcohol.jpg

Speaking of Matthew Perry, Mr. Sunshine was fantastic too! Poor guy can't seem to catch much of a break.

Catscratch, Invader Zim: what needed to be said already has.

But another underrated show, but I'll switch here from TV to YouTube.

Spriggs.

That was funny shit and only had two seasons. I would say almost as good as RvB. Almost...

I honestly think The Cartoon Adventures of Larryboy was very underrated. Is it cheesy? Yes, because it's supposed to be! Is the animation weird-looking? Maybe a little, but the advantage is that they can show those over-the-top expressions cartoons are so famous for.

It's supposed to feel like those old cheesy superhero cartoons, and teach kids good lessons at the same time.

I think the reason most Larryboy fans rejected it so much was simply because it was different--which I honestly find to be a stupid reason to dislike something :P

There were only four episodes ever made, so for me it's kind of a rare nostalgic treasure...and one of the reasons I suddenly have an odd obsession for it.

Oh, and my favorite characters were Dark Crow and Lampy.

EDIT: Okay, it was a direct to video release, but it did air on TV along with Veggietales for a short time...

I liked SeaQuest: DSV.  It's on Netflix, but it aged badly because it was set in a future based on just about every technology concept that didn't catch on.

Also, it looks like they are bringing Reboot back, and that should be interesting because again the technology changed so much.

Dan Vs was a really relatable show that had some great subtle and dark comedy.

Clone High is also an extremely underrated show that really deserves more praise.

I also really liked Chowder and I'm surprised that a lot of people deem it as 'the show that killed cartoone network'. Obviously that title belongs to Out of Jimmy's Head.

Arrow is super underrated if you think about it. I never hear about it these days and it's great for a superhero show, shoot, it is just as amazing as Smallville, which aired on the same channel, the CW.

Another underrated show is Dave the Barbarian. This show only lasted one season and had some great humor. IT was one of those shows that was very self-aware. They knew how to break the 4th wall and make it funny. I wonder why this show only got 1 season?

Chowder - There might be too many  fart jokes, but this is actually one of my favorite Cartoon Network shows of all time. And, Would you rather watch this or Uncle Grandpa?

Thomas and Friends - Besides for the crappy HiT episodes, this is probably my second favorite show of all time (behind MLP:FiM). Sadly, a lot of kids criticize it for being "l0l thumas is fur babees"

The Amazing World of Gumball - Besides for some of the more immature episodes, this is actual not so bad compared to other CN shows I've watched (MAD, Uncle Grandpa, etc.)

Catscratch - I loved this show as a kid and still do. Sadly it only had 20 episodes

Angry Beavers - A lot of people favor the other Nicktoons (CatDog, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, etc.) yet I rarely see people talk about this one. Shame, because it's my favorite Nickelodeon show, bar none, and I've seen a lot of them.

Has anyone heard of the Dilbert TV show? I'm not talking about the comic strip. That show was amazing, but it only lasted for two seasons and had thirty episodes. It had so much potential. It's a shame that it was cancelled.  :(

- There was this new TV series called "Dads" that I found quite HILARIOUS and super funny. It had Seth green in it and Brenda Song from Suit life of Zack and Cody. It only aired like...one season and its off....I guess it did not get as much views...ODDLY

- Dragon ball Z. Everyone made fun of it. I mean, yea, there are a few funny jokes and videos that can be made, but I witnessed some SERIOUS hatred of this show...like..why?

- Good luck Charlie. I am not all for the newer Disney shows and that much of a Disney channel fan, but I actually liked this show. It was funny and quite interesting. Not much people liked it because it was "new disney" but...now I heard the HORRIBLE HATRED because it featured a Lesbian couple.... .-. of course... so..the hatred grew stronger..

- Amazing world of Gumball as well. Yeah, it has stupid moments, but its funny. It may not make sense, but what cartoon does? Its pretty funny...especially Gumball's dad.

Invader Zim wasn't underrated.

Quite the polar opposite, in fact.

I'll go with the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.

Great animation, great drawing style, great humor, and memorable characters, all wrapped into one big disturbingly dark package.

I'm still bitter it was cancelled for the f*cking Problem Solverz.

You did this, scene kids

This show was the stuff of nightmares.

And I loved it for that.

You read my mind. Clone High was hilarious. It definitely should have had more attention. It's a shame that it was canceled after only one season

i remember that show being funny as hell

Then again, Disney is a company that cannot appreciate high class comedy.

Another underrated show would be Hamtaro. Well it doesn't really win any awards in anime, it's still lighthearted and fun. Think of Friendship is magic mixed with Rugrats if it's an anime and the characters are hamsters and you have this show. I don't see many people talk about this show probably because it wasn't exactly the most popular thing on Toonami.

Thundercats 2011 series - Among the countless cartoon movie or TV reboots, this was a really impressive one IMO, and yet it could never find an audience. Today's generation of kids didn't seem to care much, nostalgia for fans of the original couldn't save it, and since its premature cancellation, nobody seems to talk about it.

TaleSpin and Gummi Bears - I put both of these together for the same reason. Both are among the great first five Disney Afternoon series, and while everyone obviously remembers DuckTales and Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers and I think most people remember Darkwing Duck, very few seem to remember these two. A bit of a shame as I think both are just as great (even if Gummi Bears does bear a lot of similiarities to The Smurfs) and still hold up well today.

Green Lantern: The Animated Series - Great characters and stories, and the romance is very well done. Too bad it only lasted one season because this was cleaning up the stains the live-action movie made.

Legion of Superheroes - I generally love most DC cartoons, but this one doesn't seem to exist to anyone. I've only just started watching it, and it's a another hit. The first season may not be for everyone since has a lighter tone (I liked it though), but I'd say the second season is worth checking out.

So, no My Life as a Teenage Robot love?

That show was awesome. It had good characters, clever writing, fantastic humor, a nice art style, and interesting episodes to watch. It honestly sucks that this show got cancelled, it really deserves more seasons and attention. This show is better than the shit that airs on Nickelodeon now.
