i would not translate "I love you" into italian directely, because "ti amo" in italian is a really REALLY strong sentence it means only absolute REAL love beetween two partners no parents will ever say "ti amo" to theyr sons and vice versa, it would better to say "ti voglio bene", a lighter version of "ti amo", litteraly it would be "i want your good and happiness".. i know.. italian is really a mess XD)
