Primarily Irish and German, with sprinklings of Scottish, English and Welsh mixed in. Born in Pennsylvania, USA. :squee:

Omigosh, that's another fanboy ancestry! *looks like a fool whilest fanboying in the corner* Okay, I'm done.  I love the Scottish, Irish, and German cultures, so all three of them thrown in together (especially with the rest of the British Isles thrown in for good measure) makes my heart do a little dance in my chest. :)

English, Romanian (I'm a vampire. >=D) And German. Well, from my dad's side, by the way.

Another vampire!  And, you may be our first Romanian--congratulations!

PS Your avatar is really cute. :yay:

Italian and German.

You wouldn't be able to tell by my name. Even its meaning doesn't hint at either country

My name means: Calm Park-Keeper Who Dwells in the Shrubs.

 :|

Whoa...that name translation was awesome!  Mine essentially means "the warrior that God has upifted," which is pretty cool (if ah do say so mahself), but your name is one to be proud of, friend, and I mean that with no sarcasm, straight-faced, Pinkie swear. Besides that, your ancestry is cool, too. :)

Primarily Scottish and Russian with a bit of Irish.

Hmm...I don't think I've seen this one before.  Irish, Scottish, and Russian...that's really cool! :D Excuse me for a moment while I look like an idiot fanboying in the corner over your cool heritage.

Okay, I'm back. :) All three of those cultures are ones that I really love, so seeing them all rolled into one pony makes me get all excited and happy inside.  Sometimes, you just gotta let it out with a bit of fanboying in the corner!

Half Italian, about 45% Austro-Hungarian, and about 5% eastern European (Czechoslovakian and Croatian).

Way cool, dude!  That's an ancestry that I haven't seen before yet--I don't think I've seen Hungarian much at all, let alone Austro-Hungarian.  And there might have been a few Czechoslovakians before, and maybe one or two other Croatians, but all in all, you're pretty unique! :D

PS Good luck on your flight training, bro! :)

Scandinavian and Scottish by blood. English by the grace of God. :P

Haven't bothered researching or doing that genetic research stuff. All I know is that i'm Scandinavian/Norman on my Mothers side (Which, if you want to be technical, is Scandinavian/French. A byproduct of that lovely Norman Invasion that happened almost a millenia ago.) and that i'm Scottish on my Fathers side, with a lot of relatives in and around Glasgow and Nairn.

Not really special, since most people here in Northern England will have that kind of ancestry, especially Scandinavian. (Because of the Norman Invasion and Viking raids.)

Whoa, your ancestry...it's amazing... Incidentally, you and me have almost identical ancestry--if you had a teeny bit of Native American instead of Norman, and a bit of Danish thrown in, you would literally be me. :)

I'm tired right now, so I'll fanboy while I drift off to sleep tonight...g'night, everypony! (Okay, there isn't a sleepy smiley...that's weird.)

Strong french roots, (even though I suck at french) dating back to 1716. We even have our own Coat of Arms.

img-2120231-1-2airfv8.jpg

Whoa, awesome!  Who designed that coat of arms?  It is, to use a several-decade-old phrase, absolutely wizard.

I come from Mexican-Spanish descent. My ancestors were the Aztecs and Spaniards.

Oooh, neat!  That's a very strong heritage, with such a rich history!

PS Your avatar is kind of like an optical illusion--when I look at it one way, it's an eye looking up to the left, but when I look at it a different way, it's the moon. :yay: Yay optical illusions!

Managed to discover that my great grandfather who served in the British Military fought in the Gallipoli campaign during World War I. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallipoli_Campaign) Unfortunately, he got hit with a piece of shrapnel and died of his injury many years later because It couldn't be removed.

I believe he was in the MEF, (aka the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force)

Interesting...it's always neat when you can trace your genealogy back to some historical event, and see that your bloodline has done some really cool things. :D

PS Your avatar is absolutely adorable--@Doc. Volt, I tip my theoretical hat to you, friend.

I have an Italian heritage.

That's a cool one!  Le parla L'Italiano?

Thanks man! It was designed by a long lost relative of the family, perhaps 80/90 years ago.

Scottish,Spanish,Filipino,English,Native American, and not to mention Canadian. Pretty diverse if you ask me.

Dang, I would agree with that comment, sir!  You've got just a bit of a lot of heritage there.  And a pretty cool one, too, if you ask me. ;)

PS Your signature...yes.  It's a fact.

Ooh, "long-lost relative," huh?  That sounds like a neat thing to brag about.

And, don't mention it!  I call's 'em as I see's 'em. :)

I'm of Logan descent (the Scottish warriors who fought alongside William Wallace wearing nothing but skirts), German descent (I'm related to the Red Baron) and there's others mixed in there. In short, I am a born warrior.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, now that is cool.  Fighting wearing nothing but skirts?  Sounds like a party! And, dude, you're totally a born warrior--my panda sense tells me so. :)

PS Your avatar is pure win.  Silly logic, always being so...logical.

Let's see,,, my great great grandfather was polish, he left his country due to the Russian czar drafting people into his armies for life. then he came to america, married a Cherokee indian who had either walked the trail of tears which is when the native americans were marched to reservations, or an earlier relative of hers had. But before my great great grandfather my family had originally been going back and forth between France and Poland, but before even that we were anglo saxon. then on my fathers side, at somepoint his family came to America from Australia way before his time. Eventually his heritage also goes back to anglo saxon. there's also some Irish in there. I'm 1/32 Cherokee, 5th generation of polish descent, and yeah. But 4 interesting facts. My great grandfather was poisoned by my great grandmother and my great great grandfather. And my step grandpa's great grandfather was a night in the same czars army. And finally diabetes and alcoholism run on both sides of my family. That's all I know

Wow, you're family history sounds a lot like mine. My family also came over from Poland because of the Russians and I also am part Cherokee.

It's too bad we cant trace our ancestry to the Roman Empire though. Well most of us any way. It's hard to get bearings when people are moving all the time from country to country, with the fall and rise of nations. Some people may never know of there true ancestry because of being adopted after the chaos of WWII and the assimilation programs.

Very true, very true.  It's difficult to trace your history back past certain points, WWII certainly being one of them.
