What's in the box? SPECULATION THREAD (S4 Premier Spoilers)

OK so i was 35% right on the order IT was Fluttershy with its not easy being breezy but that's all i got right the character and episode because they made a gap in the list and the occurrence of the rainbow effect... Dame you MLP Creators with you episode gap trickery.

 

Looking at the next few episode titles they give no hint to whether a rainbow artifact or object will be found. i have a sneaky suspicion that it will be Apple Jack next though and then Twilight because Twilight was last the time before so maybe the order is the same as for whats in the box i am still undecided.

 

um also i don't think there are six Keys. if you don't believe me? watch "Twilight Time" pause at 6 seconds in if you are watching it on dailymotion. when you see it PM me saying you can see it.

Well, I think it might be or new elements of harmony or the Rainbow power. It really does make sense because when the mane 6 get her keys they eyes get rainbow like, and there is a rainbow around their key. And in the premiere of Equestria Girls 2 (Not more EG please no!) They are using the rainbow power.

A likely possibility is that the box will contain new elements of harmony, or some other method of defense to guard Equestria from darkness that attempts to overthrow balance, love, and harmony. 

 

However, a different idea that I have idly considered in the past but have begun to entertain more fully recently is that the Crystal Box will be empty. So far, all of the harmonious artifacts have been obtained through the mane six performing good deeds that inherently exemplified their character, not only resulting in their own growth but resulting in the growth of those they interacted with.

 

One aspect I find fascinating is that the magic involving these harmonious artifacts is a magic deeper than most that has been displayed in the show thus far. It does not seem to originate from anyone in particular, such as the mane six channelling their energy through the elements of harmony. This magic seems to be harmony itself, a primordial, fundamental aspect of reality that has a simultaneous mode of existence: it is its own existence, while at the same time it exists through the thoughts and actions of others. 

 

Additionally, Twilight said in the season four opening that the friendship between the mane six is stronger than any magic.

 

Bearing all of this in mind, it is possible that there will be nothing in the Crystal Box, and the mane six will learn that they can channel their own inner essence and being to defeat darkness.

I'd guess the same, maybe some new artifact to take the place of the elements as Equestria's new line of defense. Considering the tree was lit up with all eight marks(The Mane Sixes', and well as the sisters) it could be some kind of single object with a culmination of all the elements power. The keys could be a way for each element bearer to somehow prove themselves by earning theirs.

the mane 6 are getting items that they got from doing things that represent their element these will probably be used to open the box revealing something. Early in the last episode of season 4 twilight will probably get her item and an evil entity comes and twilight realizes the items will unlock the box thus revealing something that has to do with the mane 6 and the elements so here are the items so far

There is a diagram of it in "Twilight time". Its a sort of fold out diagram showing its shape in a 2D stencil. However when they get the boxx Luna says "six locks, six keys" however the digram clearly shows only three key holes.

My opinion would be all the mane six would be alicorn, because along the way on the season, the mane six gets their realization moments, which I think is a sign of the mastery of the elements.

The box has me thinking about Schrodinger's Cat. It's a thought experiment about how all possibilities will collapse into a single truth once it's observed. The experiment goes like this:

 

A cat is put into a box with a bottle of poisonous gas and an object radiating radioactive material that has a 50-50% chance of breaking the bottle and releasing the gas. After a hour, you're about to open the box when you ask the question, "Is the cat alive or dead now?" 

 

Before the box is open and observed, the cat is both alive AND dead as either possibilities could still happen. Only once the box is opened and we see whether the cat is alive or dead, the final outcome becomes the truth.

 

For us, the viewers who avoid all potential spoilers for what's in the Harmony Tree Box, we are experiencing the same Schrodinger's Cat experiment right now. What's in the box? Is it New Elements of Harmony? Is it the CMC's cutie marks? Is it some item for the good guys or bad guys? A severed head? Or some other possibility? The answer for now is that it's all of these things until the box is opened.

 

Think about that.

 

Regardless of what canonically happens, I'm sure all the fans can come up with alternative outcomes to what's in the box.

Nice idea. However, the link isn't very strong. Here a a few reasons why the Schrodinger's Cat experiment dosent apply:

That experiment was to show that something can be in 2 states whilst un observed and the ending is observed as the writers know what's happened.

We have clues as to what will happen unlike the Schrodinger's Cat experiment.

The ending of the season also has infinite many ways it could end but only a handful of plausible ways it can end so there is no 50/50 chance.

There are a lot of ways the experiment dosent like with the s4 finale but it was a good way show that anything could happen
