Announcement for you all

 

The 2014 MLPF World Cup Draw is set to take place on May 12th, 2014 at 9:00 pm EST, exactly 1 month before the 2014 MLPF World Cup is set to take place. It will randomly draw the 32 qualifiers from the Qualifying Stages into 8 groups of 4. I recently added a calender event that you can check out once it's posted. It has the link to the livestream on Youtube. You (hopefully) may also see it on Equestria.TV.

 

Thanks to for this picture! It's where all the characters will be slotted! Plus, the calender event has been added! Here it is for you all!

I just added the Group Winners and Group Runner up standings for the 2014 MLPF World Cup Qualifying Stages. It'll decide which character goes into which "pot" (think of paper slips into a bowl) for the 2014 MLPF World Cup draw. Have a look at the very first post of this thread.

To be honest, the OP should have used more well known characters, because about a fifth of the characters here are background ponies virtually no one knows. It's literally giving other ponies a free win, which is extremely unbalanced. It would have been more acceptable if we at least recognized who they are.

That's the biggest problem when you're starting with 128 ponies. There's only so many main characters I can choose from. The vast majority are background ponies. I used Mlp.wikia to weed out all the possible characters.

 

Nevertheless, this isn't even the main competition yet. We're just allowing every character a mathematical chance of making it to the World Cup, regardless of status. If you REALLY want to know what the World Cup could be like, have a simulation draw I completed based on who I think will qualify from each group. Keep in mind that which group they enter is not set in stone until May 12. This is just one of many possibilities.

All three dads in this one are losing. I thought Mr. Cake would've done much better against Photo Finish, but I guess I was wrong I think all of the Cakes have lost at one point or another now

Nothing too special today. Cheerilee crushed Flash Sentry, Rarity crushed Pinkie's sister, and Daring Do crushed Garble the red dragon. Closest matchup belongs to Aloe (spa pony) who squeaked a win over Magum (Rarity's father). We also have an upset where Photo Finish put her style on Mr. Cake and blew him away 50-28.

Out of these choices the ones I want to win most are Fleur Dis Lee and Trixie xD But I don't really want either of those to winning out of the whole tournament :/
